Today is . Researchers estimate that approximately 13.7 million children will be diagnosed with cancer globally between 2020-2050. Unless there are major improvements in diagnosis and treatments, 45% of those cases will go undiagnosed and 11.1 million children will not survive.

Together, we can change this story. Let's create a future where every child with cancer can live a long and healthy life. 🌍️

The Children's Cancer Cause Scholars Program scholarship is accepting applications until March 10th.

Reminder to our Childhood Cancer Lifeline grads and current college students, the CCL Bright Futures scholarship applications will be available in May, so watch your inbox!

We are so pleased to announce that our 2026 scholarship application is now open 🎉🎓 If you know a childhood or adolescent cancer survivor pursuing post-secondary education, please tag them or share the link (you'll find it in the comments).

Our College Scholars Program - which has now awarded scholarships to nearly 70 survivors - includes a cancer volunteer project of the student’s choice, with support and mentorship from our team. Past scholarship winners have undertaken projects that include a community bone marrow drive, a podcast for other cancer survivors, and the formation of a campus cancer advocacy organization.

In 2025, we awarded a record number of scholarships - more than double any previous year! - thanks to a survivorship program grant from Hyundai Hope on Wheels. We are grateful to have this continued support in 2026. The application deadline is March 10th!

So grateful for the opportunity to spend the morning at Pats Peak with this group of amazing high school seniors and their families to celebrate their graduations next month. This was the biggest group we have ever had, and we just loved seeing them and hearing about their plans for the fall. Our best wishes to the graduates as they complete their senior year, and our appreciation to Pats Peak for another wonderful event!

Today the members of the board and volunteers are so incredibly grateful, and perhaps just a wee bit tired, after our annual dinner and auction at Pats Peak Ski Area last night.

The community showed up in a BIG way this year, demonstrating support through donations, attendance and generous participation. It was truly heartwarming to look out into the very crowded room and see new faces among faithful attendees. Families CCL has supported. Friends. Family. Co-workers. Fellow community service volunteers (Henniker and Bedford Lions). We thank each and every one of you. YOU make what we do possible.

And special call outs to Nick Taurasi, board member and survivor, whose enthusiasm is simply infectious, and to Nick Tansey, who did an amazing job as our emcee and auctioneer this year. You both have hearts, and senses of humor, that we so appreciate.

And as always, our appreciation to our Pats Peak family, for embracing the mission of CCL and lending support for these many years.

Have you found the surprise yet?!

Well look and wait no further or longer because here it is!!!

The Lifeline has a new look online and we couldn’t be more excited. This new and improved website has been such a labor of love for our incredible board member, Anne. We couldn’t not be more proud of her and the work she poured into this over the last year.

There’s an events page where you can find the current events from the lifeline, like that auction we keep talking about (tickets are still available by the way 😉), there’s new ways to donate such as signing up for a monthly contribution using the platform Zeffy, new and protected forms when an application is submitted, and just an overall gorgeous look that we are excited to show off.

Have you checked it out? You should! And while we are at it, can we get a show of love for Anne in the comments?!

We cannot express how thankful we are for the Nashua Lions Club and their work!! These blankets and pillowcases offer comfort to our kids in such a difficult time (I won’t lie, the parents sneak some snuggles in too 😉)

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

Through the efforts of Lions Liz Kelly and Martha Ackerman, the Nashua Lions presented the fruits of their labor in the form of 12 blankets and 30 pillow cases for area children undergoing treatment for cancer. Childhood Cancer Lifeline Executive Director Sam Collyar accepted the donation on behalf of the group. In addition, the club donated $1,000 to their program. Taking part in the ceremony were Collyar, Lions Gail Ciardi, Martha Ackerman, Paule Ralph, Eileen Kelly and Liz Kelly.
