Jenny and her family have safely arrived from the west side of Maui( where the fires are severely impacting) to the Maui airport! Thank you for your prayers and concern! Hopefully they will be able to get a flight out later today or early tomorrow. A local resident helped them last night with gasoline and food. God sent them an “Angel”. 🙏

To all our dear patients of Northwest Gynecology I am asking for your prayers for safety and protection for my nurse Jenny and her family. They were on a much needed and deserved vacation this week but are now impacted by the wildfires and winds in Maui. There is not a patient in our practice who has not been blessed by Jenny’s impeccable care over our 22 years in practice together. So many of you are prayer warriors. May I humbly ask for your prayers on their behalf?Lord have mercy🙏

Problems with menstruation consist of a wide variety of symptoms: periods that are too close together, cycles that are too far apart, heavy bleeding, painful bleeding, and combinations of the above. Through a careful review of symptoms, a detailed examination and imaging studies, we will make a diagnosis. Benign uterine fibroids, endometriosis and hormonal imbalances account for the majority of bleeding problems. By considering your current health status, reproductive desires and personal circumstances, we then design therapy to best meet your needs.

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) recommends an annual gynecologic examination for women over 21 years of age. The exam encompasses a thorough review of your health history. A breast exam, pap smear and pelvic exam are performed on a schedule appropriate to your needs. A consultation with a gynecologist also presents an opportunity to discuss health concerns such as contraception, exercise, diet, and physiologic changes that occur throughout a woman’s life. Regular examinations allow us to detect changes in your health and to promptly implement any necessary treatment.

Tips to improve sleep quality!

Poor sleep quality impacts our health in many ways including fatigue, low mood, decreased ability to concentrate and focus. Poor sleep quality can put people at increased risk for heart disease, diabetes and make it difficult to lose weight. One of the first things I ask a patient when she complains of fatigue is about her sleep pattern.
