Yesterday, our Executive Leadership Team held an event for staff complete with delicious holiday cookies, hot cocoa, a fun team photo booth, and seasonal crafts. 🍪 📸 🎨

Flood Watch in Effect – Stay Alert

A Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday, with up to 1.5 inches of rain expected and the potential for flooding, downed trees, and low visibility.

Please give yourself extra travel time, watch for standing water and debris, and stay alert behind the wheel.

If you see hazardous conditions, report them. We’ll be monitoring and updating as the weather develops.

We're proud to announce that Steve Krautscheid, Director of Community Outreach & Engagement at Hillsboro Medical Center, has been recognized with the Legacy Award by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. 🌟

This great recognition reflects Steve’s longstanding commitment to advancing the health and well-being of Hillsboro.

Since 1999, Steve has dedicated his career to serving others at our hospital, the very same one he was born at. 🏥

Steve's impact has been immense, as he has:
🏗️ Overseen major specialty care expansions, including our Breast Health Center, Geriatric Psychiatry Unit and OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital NICU.

⚕️Organized hundreds of free preventative health care screenings at local events.

📚 Supported student mentorship and job shadowing programs at our hospital.

This week, Hillsboro Medical Center was honored to host Dr. Histake Fujii and Dr. Yoko Fujii from Yatsuo General Hospital located in Toyama, Japan. 🇯🇵🏥

Our hospital participated in an exchange program with Japan’s Yatsuo General Hospital that began in 1992 and lasted for more than 20 years.⚕️

Though this exchange program no longer exists, we are proud to continue this tradition of learning from one another in our shared mission to build healthier communities. ✨
