Human Rights Day: A Call to Advocate for Inclusion 🌍

Today, on Human Rights Day, we honor the fundamental truth that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and equal access to a full life—including individuals with Down syndrome.

At our Playhouse, we see every day how capable, driven, and talented our adult participants are. They are eager to work, contribute, and be valued members of their communities. And with individuals with Down syndrome living longer than ever before, it is more important now than ever to ensure they have meaningful opportunities throughout adulthood.

Yet, too many still face barriers in employment, independence, and representation.
This is a human rights issue.

Our mission remains clear:

🎉 What an unforgettable night for our Playhouse! 🎉

We were honored to be the recipients of the New Jersey Devils 50/50 Raffle at last Monday’s game — and thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who participated, we raised over $4,000!

Our partnership with the Devils Youth Foundation is incredibly important, and this event truly showed why. Seeing our participants up on the Jumbotron, and hearing them announce to thousands that we are fulfilling GiGi’s Mission — “To change the way the world views Down syndrome” — was absolutely unbelievable and deeply moving.

Thank you to the Devils Youth Foundation for their continued support and to everyone who helped make this moment so special for our Playhouse and our community. ❤️🏒
