IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL PATIENTS regarding our STRICT SICK POLICY.🤧🤢🤮

Between Allergies, Flu, and Covid, we are URGING all of our patients to call us immediately and reschedule your appointments if you or anyone in your household has ANY of the symptoms listed below.

Being sick is a bad time to go to the dentist because you could potentially spread your illness to other patients and staff in the office, especially if your illness is contagious, like a cold or flu.
Also, with symptoms like a stuffy nose or sore throat, it will make the visit very uncomfortable for you, and potentially more difficult for the dentist to perform procedures effectively

Remember, just one sneeze in the waiting room can spread the illness to many different people.

We do reserve the right to turn anyone away who is exhibiting any of these symptoms upon arrival to our office.

In order to maintain a HEALTHY and SAFE office environment for our staff and patients, we are asking for 100% honesty.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at (908) 904-4449.

Why do you need to change your 🪥 toothbrush🪥 every 3 months?
Here are some very important reasons:
🪥 After around three months of usage, the toothbrush comes to the end of its life and gets to a point where it is no longer as effective for cleaning around the tooth surfaces and this also includes brush heads on electric toothbrushes.
🪥 A new toothbrush can remove more plaque than one that is worn out.
🪥 As the bristles become worn they become more prone to bacterial or fungal growth.
🪥 Using a toothbrush more than three months might give you dental problems, halitosis or bad breath.
🪥 Worn out bristles can cause gum bleeding.
It is also advised to change your toothbrush after you had an infection such as flu, cold, mouth sores or a sore throat. If you get sick make sure that change your brush even if it’s not 3 months old yet, as bacteria can breed on those bristles.

September is National Gum Care Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to learn all about how important gums are to your health.

Did you know that Gum Disease is the leading cause of tooth loss?
The early warning signs of gum disease:
❎ Bad breath that won't go away.
❎ Red or swollen gums.
❎Tender or bleeding gums.
❎Painful chewing.
❎Loose teeth.
❎Sensitive teeth.
❎Receding gums or longer appearing teeth.

Periodontitis (also called periodontal disease) is gum disease. This infection damages the soft tissue around your teeth and wears away the bone supporting them. If left untreated, the disease eventually ruins the bone, loosening the teeth and causing them to fall out.

Gum Diseas Prevention is to Practice Good Habits:
✅Get regular dental cleanings (every 6months is recommended)
✅Brush twice daily.
✅Clean between teeth with floss or an interdental once a day.
✅Rinse twice a day with an ADA-Accepted antimicrobial alcohol free mouthwash
✅Eat a healthy, balanced diet.
✅Don't smoke or reduce smoking.
✅Keep an eye out for signs of gingivitis.

Gum disease is common. It is usually the result of poor oral hygiene, but is preventable.

If you suspect you have any symtoms of gum disease, please contact us immediately at (908) 904-4449.
