Invision serves people of all ages with sensory impairments that impact learning, activities of daily living, and mobility. We help our clients build skills, achieve their defined goals, and move toward greater independence. Our mission is to help children and adults with sensory impairments learn, function, and move as successfully and independently as possible in their homes, schools, and communities.

Did you know North Carolina updated their White Cane Law to take effect on December 1, 2026, by adding consequences for failing to yield to a person using a white cane?

The new verbiage says, "Any person who fails to yield the right-of-way to a blind or partially blind pedestrian as required by this section is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor."

We are looking for Orientation & Mobility Specialists and North Carolina Certified Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments to serve students in the Western, Northeastern, and Triangle areas of North Carolina.

You get to serve students without all the demands of being a school employee and GET PAID FOR ALL OF YOUR TIME.

What interested or called you to enter the VI field?

"Being called to enter the VI field has been a life-changing experience. I thrive on change and challenge. I was never the type of teacher who taught the same thing in the same way, year after year after year. However, now that I have landed in the VI field, the joke is certainly on me.
