We’re excited to share some wonderful news from our community partners at Hillsdale Hospital. Applications are now open for the 2026 Doris Whorley Nursing Scholarship, awarding up to $50,000 in educational support to high school seniors pursuing nursing careers.

This scholarship honors the incredible legacy of Doris Whorley, a longtime nurse and leader whose decades of dedication have made a lasting impact on patients, families, and healthcare teams. Eligible students can receive up to $10,000 per year for up to five years while earning an ADN or BSN.

Supporting future nurses means supporting the future of pediatric and family care, and we love seeing opportunities like this open doors for the next generation of compassionate caregivers.

Applications are due April 1 at 4 p.m. Learn more and apply through Hillsdale Hospital’s education page.
