November is Diabetes Foot Awareness Month.
This is the time when you want to go to a Podiatrist, and have your feet examined.
Why have this done?
In simple terms, there are many different conditions you can have that are associated with Diabetes. Neuropathy is a condition that may not have symptoms, but you could be losing feeling in your feet. Circulation or blood flow would be evaluated. Foot deformities would be evaluated for future ulcer spots. Skin can also be examined for possible pre-cancerous lesions.
