For those who have followed with me on process of The Village Of Hinckley creating a Massage Establishment Ordinance - I have news!
After attending & speaking at 3 meetings, the ordinance was unanimously passed WITH ALL FEES REMOVED. I am but one person - but I’m happy to know I can make a difference. This not only enables my business to remain here & thrive, but also will give new business owners a chance to succeed if they choose to come to Hinckley.

**History for those who don’t know. There was a proposed ordinance. I am in full support of one, as I have already followed all guidelines for the 10+ years I’ve been in business. The problem, was that they were choosing to propose EXCESSIVE fees, that are far above what I already pay to the State Of IL (IDFPR) to be licensed. And far above what surrounding towns have set. I did a lot of legwork & research confirming ordinances of surrounding towns & was able to present facts to the Village Board that these fees made no sense. Not only that, but was able to express that being singled out of the multiple businesses in town also regulated by the IDPR felt punitive & unnecessary, when I am an upstanding business in town. At the end of it all, I felt seen, heard, and understood, and the revision of the ordinance eliminated fees.
