Good morning Float Fans! Thanks to Hope Elle's reel, we have lots of new people here. I wanted to take this opportunity to re-introduce ourselves...
I'm Bobbie, 58, post menopause with MS. My family (husband, son and I) opened The Healing Lounge at Get Tanked in 2020 after my son returned from deployment with PTSD. Intense float therapy (3x's a week, 90 minutes per session for 5 weeks) got him back to a place where he could start functioning. When Covid shut everything down, the float center he had been going to also closed and never re-opened. We decided we needed this kind of therapy in Hinesville. Over the years we have worked with the Soldier Recovery Unit- Fort Stewart since our first year, as well as, multiple veterans groups.
In the last five years, we have grown from a couples float cabin to adding an infrared sauna, a Soundwave massage or Vibroacoustic massage (No, not like the thing that pounds the H*ll out of you at Planet Fitness), therapeutic massage therapy and this last year we added Advanced Chiropractic. We are getting ready to expand even more over the next few months...stay tuned for more details.
Our goal is to provide self-care services at an affordable price so you can actually take care of you.
We are regulated by the Health Department. Our facility is EXTREMELY clean. The float water goes through 2 pool filters, UV filter, Ozone filter and a hydrogen peroxide filter 7 times between each customer. 1500 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved into 200 gallons of water allows your body to relax in a way you can't in normal gravity. The air and water is the same temperature as your skin. The cabin is 8 feet long and 6 feet wide. the ceiling is 7ft. The cabin has controls inside for the lights in the shower area and inside the cabin. There is music. If you want full deprivation, you can do that too. We provide towels, and every thing you might need...we even have a way to keep hair dry.
The infrared sauna is large enough for two people. You can Bluetooth in to listen to music. We provide towels and water.
Soundwave massage is a warm waterbed with transducers that gently massage your body with music. The weighted blanket provides pressure therapy which helps lull you into relaxation while reducing pain and anxiety.
Our massage therapist has 22 years experience. She will sit with you before the session to discuss where you need relief and what tools she may use.
Dr. Cooke has been a chiropractor in Hinesville for 30 years. He joined us in September. Having a chiropractor on site provides an opportunity for you to reset your whole body and mind.

Good morning float fans! For those new to floating, I wanted to give you a list of why floating is amazing. And also, dispell some of the myths about floating.
Our float cabin is 8 feet long and 6 feet wide. At the glass door, that does NOT lock, the ceiling is 7 feet high. The water is only 10 INCHES deep. With 1500 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved into it. This creates a low gravity environment that allows your body to literally float, even if you have never been able to float in a pool, you will float in our float cabin.... we do not dunk you, lock you in and no one is going to drown. The air and water are kept at 94 degrees, same temperature as your skin.
We have a system to keep your hair dry while you float. We provide everything you will need to float.
Here is a short list of what happens when you float...

Diminished anxiety, depression and tension

Happy New Year float fans!
We are starting our year off with a bang... more details later...
We are open tomorrow.
We had a cancelation for a couples float at 3pm. We have a 45 minute float available at 10am also.
The infrared sauna is open after 11am.
Soundwave massage is open all day.
Dr. Cooke will be here from 7am to 11am if you need an adjustment.

Saturday we have one float time open at 4:30. Infrared sauna is available in the first part of the day. Soundwave massage is open most of the day.
Massage therapy is totally booked. We do have openings next week though.

We now offer an Unlimited membership for $150.00, per person, a month you can float for 45 minutes, infrared sauna for 30 minutes and Soundwave massage for 35 minutes as many times in a month. You do have to make an appointment for the services once you purchase the membership.

Bobbie here;
On this day 2020 we opened our doors. We had no idea what we were doing, sunk our savings into a float room we barely knew how to work, and prayed. In the 5 years we have been open we have met thousands of people who have touched our hearts. We have learned and expanded into a wellness business, adding new modalities to help us keep moving, allow our minds to calm, sooth our aches, and help us be better. We are always striving to learn, grow and improve.
We are grateful to our Healing Lounge customers and the Hinesville community. We look forward to the next 5 years.
