New England Hospice We are a small, family owned & operated hospice company that serves all who need us throughout the state of Massachusetts.

For nearly 12 years New England Hospice has been serving patients and families facing serious illnesses and providing support to those who have lost loved ones. We maintain that hospice is about life and the quality of time we have left. New England Hospice typically provides 9-14 hours a week of additional care- more than twice the national average! Our team is available 24/7 in order to meet the

needs of our patients and families whenever necessary. New England Hospice recognizes how difficult it is to forego curative treatment and we are always available for education, support and guidance to help you through this difficult time and provide your loved one with the quality of life and comfort that they deserve.

As a small company, we take pride in going the extra mile by providing personalized experiences, activities, and gifts for any patient under our care. We take the extra steps to ensure every patient experiences meaningful and respectful care during their end of life process.

Our hearts are heavy at New England Hospice.

We are deeply saddened by the devastating fire at Gabriel House Assisted Living. Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with all the residents, families, and staff impacted by this tragedy. We also extend our deepest gratitude and support to the first responders who acted with such bravery and compassion during this difficult time.

To anyone affected by this event — please know you are not alone. If you or someone you know is in need of emotional or spiritual support, our licensed social workers and chaplains are here to help.

With love and compassion,
The New England Hospice Team

We had a wonderful time celebrating our vets at Blair House Milford yesterday! Thank you to everyone who participated in bingo, ate cake, and sang the army song.

Special thanks to Mary Ann, our oldest Army veteran who cut the birthday cake for us! NEH is a proud partner of We Honor Veterans.

For many years, the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) were widely used to describe how people mourn. But grief isn’t that orderly. We now understand it’s not about moving through steps—it’s about doing the work of mourning in a way that’s personal and meaningful.

✨ Enter the 4 Tasks of Mourning (William Worden’s model):
1️⃣ Accept the reality of the loss
2️⃣ Process the pain of grief
3️⃣ Adjust to a world without the deceased
4️⃣ Find a way to remember while moving forward with life

This model honors the active process of grieving. There’s no timeline, no “right” way—just support for healing in your own time, in your own way.
