🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of IDEA! 🎉

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a landmark law that guaranteed students with disabilities the right to a free and appropriate public education.

Did you know? A lawsuit brought by The Arc of Pennsylvania helped pave the way for this historic legislation. 🙌

IDEA is a core part of The Arc’s history and legacy, and we’re proud to continue advocating for the rights of people with disabilities every single day.

🚗✨ Last week, a group from our Community-Based Day Services (CBDS) had the incredible opportunity to visit McLaren Boston!

The team welcomed us with an amazing tour of the dealership, from exploring the stunning cars to learning how everything works behind the scenes.

We had such a fantastic time. Thank you, McLaren Boston, for having us! 🙌

🎁 Holiday Giving Alert! 🥫
Participants in our Community-Based Day Programs (CBDS) are passionate about supporting our community and this year, they’re hosting a Toys for Tots collection AND a holiday food drive!

If you're able to help, we’re collecting new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at:
📍 365 River Street, North Weymouth
📅 Please drop off by December 15

Your donations directly support neighbors in need. The Weymouth Food Pantry, which receives over 1,400 visits each month from local families, has a frequent wish list that includes:
• Jam or jelly
• Ready-to-eat items (canned pasta, chili, hash)
• Pancake mix & syrup
• Jarred pasta sauce
• Side dishes (seasoned rice/pasta, Knorr, etc.)
• Cold cereal
• Ground coffee & tea
• Condiments (dressing, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mayo, etc.)
• White tuna
• Cooking oil / Pam
