Let’s do this Summers County! River cleanup starting @ 9am. Drop in at the upper bridge, take out @ camp Brookside. We need all the help we can get. Bring your raft, kayak, tube or hitch a ride with one of us! Let’s Gooooooo!

The Summers County Recycling Center’s Re-Use store will be closed today, as our staff is participating in the river cleanup. The recycling bins will be open and available for use. If bringing aluminum cans, please leave them at our door. Thank you!

This is your chance to join a community river cleanup that will be captured on film—both from the water and the sky.

June 7 Hinton, WV to Camp Brookside, shuttle and a two guided rafts provided by New River Gorge Outfitters, lunch from Lucky Rivers Cafe and Catering, bring your own craft or claim a seat in a raft.

The DEP was hoping to replace our tire collection trailer this week, but with the holiday, it could be delayed. DO NOT bring tires and leave them because they will fill with water and become a mosquito breeding ground. NEVER leave tires outside our gates after hours. This has become such a problem that security cameras have been installed to help identify offenders, and they will be fined. Sorry if that sounds crabby, but taking tires is a service we are trying to provide to the community. We aren't required to do it.
