Danny Alan Taylor was born November 9, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Willard Roy and Linda Gail (Morelock) Taylor. He passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma, at the age of 50. Danny graduated from Hinton High School in 1994 and went on to study at RECW Recording Studio in Chillicothe, Ohio. After returning to Oklahoma, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. On July 10, 1999, Danny was united in marriage to Tammy Bishop at the First Baptist Church in Hinton. Throughout his career, he worked for Hertz Corporation, American Bank Systems, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, TMW, My Consulting Group, the Delaware Nation, and most recently for OMES for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, as a computer software developer. Danny had a lifelong passion for music. He enjoyed playing guitar and bass, was part of a band, and was well known as “DJ Dan” at events of all kinds. He loved audio recording, participated in open mic nights across Oklahoma for the past three years, and was affectionately known in Hinton as the “Pumpkin Master.” For the last year of his life, he was known as Big Daddy Dan on the Roadhouse Rock Radio Station on Audilous. He enjoyed driving and cruising around, but most of all loved pestering his wife and daughters especially on Facebook. Danny’s faith was central to his life. Saved and baptized around the age of 13 at Camp Sooner, he was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Hinton, where he served as a deacon, board member, and member of the worship band. He was known for his quick wit, constant joking, and as a true practical joker who brought joy to everyone around him.
Danny is survived by his wife, Tammy Taylor of the home; two daughters, Addison “Booger” Taylor and Amanda “Punko” Taylor; and his father, Willard Taylor all of Hinton; his sister, Gayla Taylor Cox and husband Donnie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Kim Whitson of Norman and Jenny Brannan and husband Chris of Wi******er, Virginia; brother-in-law, Brett Bishop and wife Kim of Arapaho, Oklahoma; faithful companion, Sophie dog; and good friends, Stacy and Kelly Smith of Hinton.
