Long time, no post! Unfortunately, my business page has not been letting me share or post anything with attached images.

I am working on getting this fixed but wanted to check in. I am still working and learning every single day, cheers!

A relaxed lunge is a great way to test your horse's physical and mental relaxation, as well as observe any tightness or imbalances they might have.

A horse that is tight or unbalanced may speed up or have trouble maintaining their gait when stretching, or not offer a stretch at all! 😵‍💫

A horse not accustomed to stretching may need some encouragement to achieve that "long and low"; starting at a stand still with carrot stretches is a great first step. Everyone starts somewhere! 🥕

Hello, my name is Maggie and I'm happy to be offering equine massage services to the Northeastern Ohio region.

I am a lifelong horse lover, with a certification in Equine Massage Therapy from Lake Erie College to accompany my Bachelor's of Equine Facility Management. With my education and background in a variety of disciplines my goal is to evaluate the whole horse and find a massage program that best supports their lifestyle- whether as a beloved pet or competitive athlete.

As a young professional, I am constantly aiming to expand my knowledge base to offer a variety of techniques, including traditional massage, myofascial release, stretching, cupping, and trigger point release.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and contact me to set up an appointment for your equine partner!

Karen Rohlf discusses the difference between a biomechanically valuable stretch and just a low, long neck. Stretching your horse can be very helpful for your horse, but we want to be able to know the difference in order to train our horse in a healthy and balanced way.
