Sometimes in private practice burnout happens. It's a lot to juggle all the time. The balancing act of wanting to serve all my people all the time, while also needing to be home and managing schedules for a family of 4- cooking, exercising, cleaning, sleeping enough, but also relaxing and enjoying time, that quite honestly, is moving waaay too fast. Its overwhelming. And I know I'm not alone.

But then God reminds me of what I prayed for-what I get to be part of every day.

All of my patients' births matter to me, but this one particularly brought me to tears. I've cared for this momma for a long time. I've seen her through several miscarriages. When she told me she was pregnant again, I held my breath and I prayed for this baby. We didn't expect her to still be pregnant at 37, 38 or even 39 weeks based on her past. But instead of saying "still pregnant" we said THIS is what we prayed for. And at 40+ weeks she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl at home.

And it's all so worth it.

What an absolutely great week we had! It was so much fun. I wish we could see all of our patients in one week just so we could enjoy it together!

This morning I started a 2 month old who came in because she has a flat spot on her head, restricted range of motion, and reflux. She also struggled with nursing for the first several weeks.

These are all top reasons parents bring me their babies.

I was talking to the parents who have both been under care in the past, and they didn't understand why a baby might need chiropractic, but their friends had recommended it (good work lovely patients spreading the word) and they're hopeful it will help.

So why does a baby need chiropractic?

It all comes down to the brain. All the symptoms this baby is having are all really one problem. Abberant information being sent to the brain from the body.

The spine is a continuation of the brain stem-what does the brain stem do? Balance, tone, movement, posture, righting, swallowing, breathing. When we're subluxated it affects brain function. We get stuck in fight or flight. We don't heal well. We can't digest our food properly. Our postural muscles don't work properly.

Don't you think that might lead to a baby that always looks one way, has restricted range of motion, difficulties nursing, tummy issues, screaming all the time... Flat heads??

Removing subluxations improves brain function. Improved function and better neural tone equals improved health!
