Codependency & Celebrate Recovery

Codependency is a pattern where someone excessively focuses on others’ needs at the expense of their own, often showing up as people pleasing, poor boundaries, and finding your worth in “fixing” others. It typically develops from dysfunction or trauma.

BUT GOOD NEWS
Because it’s learned, it can be UNLEARNED. Praise God!!

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program that addresses all kinds of hurts, habits, and hang-ups…including codependency. It offers a safe, supportive community where real healing happens through faith, accountability, and connection.

If you’ve ever lost yourself in someone else, there’s hope and there’s help. 💙🧡

Join us next Wednesday, February 25th at Celebrate Recovery at Abba’s House for a powerful night of testimony and hope.

Kierstin Cichy will be sharing her story of transformation and freedom. She is a grateful believer in Jesus Christ who has overcome childhood trauma, fear, and controlling behavior, and now lives and walks in the freedom Christ has given her.
Her story is a beautiful reminder that no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve faced, God is still writing redemption into your story. Kierstin can’t wait to share what He has done in her life and offer encouragement and hope for what He can do in yours.

Come expectant. Come as you are. There is a seat for you. 💙

Join us this Wednesday, February 18th at Celebrate Recovery as we continue walking the path of healing and freedom together. Lesson 5 reminds us that no matter what we have walked through, God is still writing a redemption story.
This week, Judy Robinson will be sharing from her heart about how Jesus has carried her through trauma, restoration, and a life poured out in service to others. Her testimony is a beautiful reminder that pain does not get the final word, grace does.
Here is what Judy would like to share:
My name is Judy Robinson, and I have been married to my husband Patrick for 19 years. Through a trauma-filled life, I have survived and found healing through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
I have two biological children, but through the foster care system I have had the privilege of raising over a hundred children and adopting eight.
I have been a member of Abba’s House since 2012. I serve with Shower Up and in the Choir, have led a 12-Step study group, and now co-lead the Abide in Christ Life Group class on Sunday mornings.
As we walk through Lesson 5, “Turn,” I look forward to sharing how surrendering my life and will over to Christ has been the foundation of my healing, my service, and my story.

Join us this Wednesday at Celebrate Recovery and come experience the freedom and hope that comes from truly turning it all over to Him. 💛
