Today, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced the launch of FeedTN.org a new platform connecting Tennesseans with resources and opportunities to serve their communities.

If you’re a SNAP recipient in Tennessee and looking for ways to fill the gap the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) — administered by our Commodities Staff here at TDA — provides nutritious food to eligible individuals and families. If you’re SNAP eligible, you are automatically eligible for TEFAP distributions.

Distribution is done DIRECTLY from your local food bank:
Use our interactive map to locate the food bank serving your county here. Simply select your county of residence from the dropdown menu and call the corresponding food bank or affiliate agency. There are HUNDREDS of affiliates on the map, so make sure to select your county to see them.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Families who rely on federal nutrition assistance in both Tennessee and Georgia could see their benefits temporarily halted starting November 1st due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.
