, UPDATED INFO ON MADELINE:
As some of you already know, Maddie passed away at 7:44 pm on October 14th. "Mildred", cheated her out of the last week's she had so hoped for, but was not granted. Such a loss, for she was such a kind and loving person and it completely broke my heart.
Unfortunately I was not able to be with her, for I had been exposed to Covid and she asked me not to come until I was cleared, and I got clearance that very afternoon, but wasn't able to make it down...I was hoping she could hang on...but as God seen it fit for her Best Friend, Heather, to be with her up until the end. I am so GRATEFUL for that, for she loved her dearly.
I'm very thankful to Heather for relaying all of my messages to her and for staying by her side those last few days...for she needed all the love she could get, from everybody. I'll never forget our last embrace, sitting on the bed, before she went to the hospital that evening and I gave her one of "The beautiful ones" shirts to wear... unfortunately the photo wasn't great but it was perfect for her...I'm glad she wore it that once.
Madeline touched so many people throughout her time here on earth. All of my neighbors had inquired so much about her in the last couple of weeks, for they had become accustomed to her late evening walks down the lane, when she was up to it. Throughout the Summer, they would come over for late night visits or a cookout every now and then. I tried to gather entertainment for her as much as I could when I wasn't so busy. I'll surely miss her sitting outside with me in the middle of the night while I was building the tiny craft house...sometimes she would scare the crap out of me, lol...but we'd always sit out there and look at the moon that hung so brightly over the back yard.
For sure, the house on Gooden is not the same without her presence there...but that was what we both called Home during her stay and I am thankful God sent her there to me, to rest in her last days and months here on earth...for she was loved for sure by me, no doubt and I know she felt comfortable there indeed.
Since Maddie was a TRUE night owl and had told me just before she went to the hospital, that perhaps her energy would come back as a STAR... and ALL of you who helped us grant her last wishes, we have named a STAR in her Honor...under the constellation of Pisces, her birth sign and re-born date of Oct. 14th, with the Coordinates Certificate in her favorite color, Purple. So, when you look up at the night sky, send Maddie a little smile, as hopefully & prayfully, she twinkle downs on us!!!
Her remains will be cremated and Heather and I will place them in the places she wished to visit, place some in sunflowers and of course, keep some close to our hearts. I think I would like to but some in the , Prince office next to her room so I can continue to chat with her while I work.
I cannot express how humbly grateful I am for the prayers and blessings that you all bestowed on the cause. As always, you all have good hearts and I am most appreciative.

...meet my friend Madeline or "Maddie", as she likes to be called.
NOW HERE'S THE LONG STORY... I want you to get the whole picture, for it has taken me awhile to get to here, because I didn't want to share Madeline's journey for just any old reason. NOW IT'S TIME!!!
The first part of this year Madeline came to my house, as a Airbnb guest for about a week, until she found out what was wrong with her, for she had been really sick and had to begin a series of testing.
She had to quit her job driving for US Express due to her illness and really had no true home, for she had been on the road working for so long and that wide open space...was her home, with her companion doggie, Charlie.
Maddie was really quiet and shy when she first got there, only coming out mainly when I'd leave to run errands. One day I had to backtrack and she was in the kitchen...and I told her then she could come and sit with me if she wanted too, that she didn't have to stay in her room all the time...that's when our friendship truly began I guess you'd say and she finally pulled the hair back from her eyes lol.
As we chatted, she had said to me, "Why are you so nice to me???" BECAUSE...I try to be nice to everybody, I replied. BUT she said...PEOPLE are not usually nice to ME.
You see...Madeline has had a tough life, she is extremely tall at 6' 8" and you know how cruel people can be when you stand out like that from childhood on. For she is REALLY, REALLY TALL...a GIANT indeed!!! But you know what, SIZE DOES NOT MATTER, lol. (I'm the short one, bty)...she's really been dealt a crappy hand of cards if you knew the whole story.
But she and I started taking drives and hanging out, as my time allowed, and if you know me...my life is quite insane most of the time. However, Madeline ask if she could come back to my house later, IF SHE DIDN'T GET BETTER...because she really liked it there...BUT, I was booked for a couple months solid.
I told her she was welcome to come back after they all left, if her circumstances did not improve and if it was serious, she could call my home hers for as long as she needed too and that I WOULD NOT CHARGE HER RENT. PERIOD!!! She needed a safe place to be where someone was near and close by and not having $$$ hanging over her head, because funding was very limited....THANKFULLY, that was the right decision.
Madeline was diagnosed, at the time with Stage 4 stomach CANCER...she has been at my home for almost 6 months now, with the exception of the times I've taken her to the hospital and she's had to be admitted for surgeries...last week, it happened AGAIN...and this one was a BUMMER...nasty, ugly this time...it's spread to her whole lower bowel.
Over the course of time, we've laughed, cried, b*t & moaned, literally...now TODAY has arrived in this photograph and we are both VERY, VERY SAD. Madeline is having to go to Hospice downtown because "Mildred" (the CANCER, as she calls it), has taken hold of her and isn't letting loose!!! Unfortunately, they've given her 4-6 weeks left to LIVE...but we're holding out for more time...hopefully, prayfully.
She just came back HOME yesterday, to give it another fighting chance, but is unable to battle the demon culprit without medical assistance and their machinery....this is the part where you say, "LIFE TRULY SUCKS", because Maddie isn't quite ready to return her energy back to the Universe, as she says, perhaps in the thereafter, she will become a STAR!!!
So now, here we are... , I was hesitate about this post because it is so personal and effects me greatly because Maddie is such a special person...and the world will not shine as brightly without her technical-exactness, with a hint of sarcasm thrown here and there and unique sense of humor...she is one smart cookie in other words and those who have failed her in this Life, well shame on you all, for not taking the time to be a part of her journey... you truly missed out, for she is one of, as would say, "The beautiful ones". Kind & considerate, thoughtful and caring... A good heart, gracious & full of Love...a friend till the end, to those she cares for.
So, God-willing, she will have a bit more time and energy to escape to someplace she still wishes to see...and if not, funding is still needed to help out with her final expenses.
So I ask kindly, if you can give a bit...please do. If not, please just help me SHARE the post for her. AND, I ask that you all PRAY for Maddie's salvation to be glorious in the end.
