🥰 Foster Armstrong's grandfather is a patient here at Life Care Center of Hixson. Foster came to visit his grandfather and surprise him this Saturday with a steak and shrimp dinner he prepared himself! 🥩🍤

He brought all of the ingredients, including, plates, utensils, and all the trimmings. His granddad was very surprised and thankful, for such a wonderful and thoughtful gesture. 😊 Thank you, Foster, for making your granddad's day a special day. You did an awesome job!

💪 Donna came to us for outpatient physical therapy following orthopedic surgery. She received tailored PT interventions and successfully returned home meeting all her goals in a few weeks! She had a great report from her orthopedic surgeon (Dr. Freeman) about her outcome with physical therapy.

🗨️ "What a wonderful experience!" Donna shared. "People don't generally think of physically therapy being a wonderful experience, but Leanne immediately knew what I needed and knew in therapy how to get me functioning better than I have in years. Thank you, Leanne, for everything!"

Residents were thrilled to get a visit from Santa on Christmas morning! 🎅 It was a delight to see each face as Santa entered their room with gift. 🎁 This would not have been possible without the generosity of Gold Bond/Kevin Coffman, who bring gifts each year without fail for the whole facility; North River Civic Center, who crocheted lap blankets; North River Family YMCA; staff & families!

You all make it possible to lift up spirits here on Christmas Day. Thank You!

🎅 Our residents received a wonderful surprise with a "Ho, ho, ho!" and a bag full of gifts for the residents. Santa also brought cupcakes and snacks for everyone to chow down on. The residents had a great time visiting with Santa and stated they had all been really good this year. 😉

🎄 They can't wait until next year! A big thank you to Connie Cain and Rusty, her son.

🎄 Come and join us for our Christmas Concert with the Trembling Troubadours! 🎶 They are a therapeutic choir of individuals with Parkinson's and their caregivers who sing together and support and encourage one another. ❤️💚

Congratulations to Sharon, who recently completed her physical and occupational therapies with us! 🎉

🗨️ "I have improved my balance, safety awareness, gait and transfers," Sharon said. "My stay has been great, and I love Activities! The CNAs took good care of me and made me laugh. All of the staff comforted me when I was discouraged." 💚

🎁 We hosted our Holiday Market on Friday, November 14. Everyone came out to enjoy a variety of vendors, food trucks, popcorn, door prizes. 🐴 The ponies were a big attraction, and everyone enjoyed petting them.

We also had the honor of listening to the "Riverbend Ramblers" – they were an awesome band! 🪕Everyone had a great time, and the weather was perfect and had a touch of fall. Looking forward to 2026 Fall Fest!
