As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), I have spent my career learning about attachment-focused, developmentally appropriate approaches to working with children, teens, and families. Through my journey I have found that toys, games, expressive art, and sandtray allow children to express themselves, therapeutically process their feelings, and learn social/coping skills in the most natural way possible...play.

My practice is founded on the idea that through playful and creative connection, a child or teen will feel safe to open themselves up to alternative ways of thinking, feeling, and living. This allows them to grow and heal. I take a team approach in my work with children, incorporating parents, family members, and other professionals that play key roles in the child’s life outside of the counseling office.
