yctt Story
In accordance with the guidelines of Yoga Alliance© Denise Cillo Egan has created a Training Program from her 14 experience and 16 years of practice. The Program will honor yoga's Eastern roots, yet be accessible for the modern student of yoga. Upon completion of our Program, you can choose to register with Yoga Alliance© for your RYT 200 Certification. Or perhaps you're simply seeking deeper meaning to your current practice. Either way, the Program will prepare you. Mind, body, and soul. The following is a summary of the Training Program: Technique Training and Practice • Asana, pranayama, vinyasa, meditation, guided relaxation, chanting, kriyas. Teaching Methodology • Assisting, adjusting, effective verbal, visual and tactile communication and instruction skill. • Integrating personal style. • Recognizing the students’ abilities. • Weaving in philosophy and heart opening dialogue. Anatomy & Physiology • Anatomy of the human body in discussion with asana kinesiology, interactions and functions. • From the subtle energy body we will discuss and learn the body from the inside out as it relates to chakras, vayus, and nadis, what we call the invisible anatomy. Philosophy and Ethics and Lifestyle • The history of yoga, the yoga sutras, the Bhagavad-Gita, Upanishads, vegetarianism, cooking and eating healthy, as well as Sadhana, Yamas, and Niyamas. Practicum • Teaching, assisting, observing. Teaching • Special classes to special groups or populations, beginner to intermediate flow class, kids yoga, prenatal yoga, partner yoga, and one-on-one interactions.
