We had the best time celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week here at The Waters!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make it so special.

From casino day to gifts we are truly NACHO average nursing home (we’re a cool one 😎) -every moment was filled with laughter, smiles, and memories to cherish.

Here’s to our incredible team and residents, for making this past week unforgettable! ❤️

Since we wrapped up last week, we want to take a moment to give a huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible nurses! 💙

Your compassion, strength, dedication, and unwavering care make a difference in the lives of our residents each and every day. No matter the challenge, you always show up with heart — and if anyone can do it, it’s you!

We are beyond grateful for all that you do and have loved celebrating the amazing individuals who make our facility so special. Thank you for being the heart of care at The Waters! 🫶

At The Waters, we are committed to honoring and respecting all faiths and traditions within our community.

We are grateful to have a resident in our care who celebrates the Jewish faith, and we take pride in ensuring her holidays are acknowledged and supported. From keeping her holiday calendar updated to making sure she has what she needs for meaningful observances, we strive to create an environment where every tradition is valued.

She also enjoys sharing her stories and traditions with her circle of friends, offering a beautiful opportunity for learning, connection, and understanding among residents.

Last month in celebration of Passover, we were happy to provide her with matzo—something familiar and meaningful during this special time.

It’s important to us that all residents and their families know their traditions matter here. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and to celebrate what makes each person unique.

To start off our celebrations we wanted to take a moment to introduce our fantastic Nurse Management Team at The Waters!

Brandi Fasel – Our fearless leader and Director of Nursing

Back in 2003, Dan was looking for a stable career that was intriguing and rewarding. He decided healthcare was the best option and became the rockstar nurse that we know today! He says the best part of being a nurse manager is helping to make sure the residents are well taken care of, along with treating wounds to improve residents quality of life. Dan: Thank you for your words of wisdom and love for our residents!

Back in 2013, April completed her dream of being able to help others and became a nurse. April strives every day (including nights and weekends!) to ensure a good existence for people living in a long term care facility. April: Thank you for your dedication and the love for our residents!

In 2010, a star was pinned! Brandi became a nurse because she not only wanted to sustain herself financially, but she wanted to contribute to her community. Her love for guiding and educating our nursing staff (and non-nursing staff alike) to ensure our residents get the best care is why our Director of Nursing is PHENOMENAL! Brandi: Thank you for your patience, wisdom, and guidance to ensure our residents are given the wonderful care they deserve. And thank you for helping us all keep our sanity!
