🎁 Holiday Giving at Its Best! 🎁

Our team at the Guidance Center of Lea County came together in a big way this season — and the results are nothing short of inspiring.

Thanks to the generosity and heart of our staff, we collected:
✨ 460 toys for CASA of Lea County
✨ 159 toys for Toys for Tots

That’s 619 gifts of joy heading to children in our community!

We’re incredibly proud of our team for showing what compassion, teamwork, and community spirit look like in action. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the holidays brighter for local kids.

💙 Together, we make a difference.

Trauma-Informed Care at GCLC

Guidance Center of Lea County, Inc. is committed to the Sanctuary Model of Trauma Informed Care for its staff and clientele. We believe that increasing awareness, emphasizing safety, and teaching skills to our employees that they can utilize to manage their feelings, are crucial steps in creating an environment conducive of processing change, feelings, past trauma, grief and loss.

The Sanctuary© Model was developed by Dr. Sandra Bloom. A well-defined model for organizations like the Guidance Center of Lea County, Sanctuary© integrates trauma theory with therapeutic community principles and the practice of nonviolence.

The Guidance Center has become a certified Sanctuary© provider. The model is being integrated into all of our programs.
