It was an honor to participate in the
grand opening of the enhanced senior meal site at Hobe Sound First Baptist Church—an incredible milestone made possible by the Hobe Sound Community Chest through our philanthropic support of the Martin County Council on Aging’s senior meal program.

As a board director and business donor, I’m deeply proud to witness the direct impact of this initiative. For many of the seniors we serve, this is the only hot meal they’ll receive in a day—and the only opportunity to connect with others, share laughter, and participate in enriching group activities.

This isn’t just about nourishment. It’s about preserving dignity, promoting connection, and supporting neurocognitive and emotional health through social engagement. The program provides free or low-cost meals every weekday, and it truly feeds both body and spirit.

To our dedicated donors: your generosity continues to create meaningful, measurable change in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for investing in our community.

ALMA Neurocognitive Specialty was proud to sponsor the 2025 Hobe Sound Chili Cook-Off! While Alex took home 3rd place last year, he didn’t snag a prize this time—but we still had an amazing time.

Research consistently shows that volunteering, philanthropy, and social engagement can boost overall happiness, enhance a sense of purpose, and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Events like this bring us closer as a community, reminding us of the joy and fulfillment that come from giving back and connecting with others.

A huge thank you to our colleagues, friends, and family who helped from setup to cleanup, and to the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center for hosting such a fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year!
