"I'll love you no matter what."
Every kid, whether they are an athlete or not, needs to hear their parents say these words.
Stepping into the world also means taking a step towards more failure.
In the world of athletics, failure is a part of the game. To give them that security blanket to try and fail is one of the most important things you can do for them and their confidence on and off the field.

Too often athletes feel the pressure to hide their emotions, especially those that aren’t seen as productive to their performance.
For a fear of judgment, emotions are pushed down and hidden.
But real strength looks like this. Victor Wembanyama showing that you can be the most dominant force on the court, and still be human off it. Vulnerable. Open. Unafraid.
That’s not weakness. That’s the new standard.

To the moms who hold space for everyone else’s big feelings today, we want to hold space for yours. Motherhood is a journey of incredible strength, but it’s also one of vulnerability, late-night worries, and constant giving.

Today, we honor the woman behind the 'Mom' title. Your mental health matters just as much as the hearts you are nurturing. Happy Mother’s Day to the nurturers, the cycle-breakers, and the ones doing the quiet, heavy lifting. 🤍

"I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious." ☕️

We’re kicking off a brand-new series here at Lukin Center: TV Diagnostics. We’re taking a deep dive into the minds of your favorite fictional characters to explore the psychological traits that make them who they are.

First up: The World’s Best Boss, Michael Scott.

While Michael is beloved for his humor, his behavior often aligns with the clinical markers of Histronic Personality Disorder (HPD). From his "performative" emotions to his struggle with professional boundaries, swipe through to see the breakdown of the man behind Dunder Mifflin.

🗣️ What do you think? Is Michael just "eccentric," or do you see these HPD traits in his classic moments? Drop your thoughts below!

Next week: We’re trading paper for high fashion as we diagnose Andrea Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada. 👠

It was incredibly inspiring to see athletes so driven to pursue their passions.
Furthermore, we had the opportunity to speak with coaches and parents on the importance of mental health in sports and how our sports mental health and performance program can be a game-changer for their young athletes' performance on and off the field.
If you are interested in helping your athlete improve their performance and mental health on and off the field, check out the link in our bio.

"I’m not doing enough."

If you’ve whispered those words to yourself today, please swipe through. "Mom guilt" is a heavy weight, but it’s often built on unrealistic standards of perfection rather than the reality of what your child actually needs.

Our therapists at the Lukin Center are sharing these reminders to help you shift from a place of "guilt" to a place of "grace." Your well-being isn't a luxury, it’s the foundation of your family’s health.
