✨ LAST WEEK’S EPISODE ✨

No one talks about what really happens after birth… especially when it comes to your pelvic floor.

In last week’s episode of the Well-Adjusted Mama Podcast, I sat down with pelvic health expert Stacey Roberts to unpack the “postpartum rehab gap” and what your body actually needs to heal, feel strong, and regain confidence.

If you’ve ever felt dismissed or unsure where to start—this one’s for you 🤍

After 20+ years as a chiropractor, I’ve found that most people don’t realize there are different phases of chiropractic care.

✨ 1. Intensive Care – When symptoms are acute and we need to calm inflammation, restore movement, and get you out of pain. Visits are usually more frequent in this phase.

✨ 2. Corrective Care – Once symptoms improve, we focus on stabilizing the spine, improving function, and helping your body hold the changes we’ve made.

✨ 3. Wellness / Maintenance Care – This is where the magic really happens. Regular adjustments help maintain alignment, support your nervous system, and prevent old patterns from creeping back in.

The goal isn’t just to get you out of pain — it’s to help your body function at its best long-term.

That’s why I encourage my patients to stay consistent with maintenance care once they’re feeling better. Your spine (and nervous system) will thank you. 💫

Sunlight is one of the most underrated health tools we have. ☀️

Getting regular sun exposure helps your body produce vitamin D, supports immune health, improves mood, and helps regulate your circadian rhythm. 🌿

Even a few minutes outside can make a big difference for your energy, sleep, and overall well-being.

Sometimes the best health advice is simple: step outside and get some sunlight. 😌

❤️ Valentine’s Day may be over… but that doesn’t mean we stop celebrating love — especially the love you give to yourself. ❤️

Self-care is self-love.

February might be known as the month of LOVE, but the most important relationship you have is the one with yourself. And that deserves attention all year long. 💕

Whether it’s a chiropractic adjustment to reset your nervous system ✨, supportive wellness therapies 🌿, or a virtual functional medicine session to get to the root of what’s holding you back 💻 — investing in your health is one of the greatest acts of love.

The Brayton Birth Method

Over the past twenty years, the C-section rate in the United States has skyrocketed. Additionally, there has been an increase in maternal and infant mortality rates in the US compared to other countries in the world. Considering we spend more money on healthcare than any other country in the world, I was astounded and dismayed to see a shift amongst the birth community away from what is normal and natural to instead an overuse of technology and interventions, mostly in the name of malpractice and fear.

I believe in the importance of natural childbirth, and believe that women can truly create the birth of their dreams.

I created the Brayton Birth Method because I felt so strongly that there was a need to empower and educate women- especially in the United States-on what is possible for them, their families and birth plans.

Interventions during birth can be necessary and life-saving, but when the natural process of labor is uninterrupted by outside influences or a birthing mama’s disempowering thoughts, it can be a deeply rich spiritual experience that profoundly impacts the mama-baby unit. Ultimately, the shift in global consciousness begins with birth.
