Residents at Brackenville are showing off their artistic talents in the West Dining Room. During this creative activity, residents took turns painting stained glass–inspired designs on glass using washable paints.
Painting on a raised surface encourages shoulder flexion, an essential movement that supports everyday function. The stretching and movement involved help loosen the shoulders, assisting residents with daily tasks such as reaching for items independently, self-feeding, and self-dressing. Art activities like this are a wonderful way to blend creativity with meaningful therapeutic benefits.
