You can crack your own neck, so you don’t need a chiropractor? Let me tell you about Mike.

He’d been cracking his own neck for years - multiple times a day. It felt good, gave him temporary relief, so he figured he was handling it.

But his neck pain kept getting worse. Headaches were getting more frequent. He’d crack it, feel better for 20 minutes, then have to crack it again. It became this never-ending cycle. Finally came in because nothing was improving.

Here’s what was actually happening: When you crack your own neck, you’re popping the spots that already move too much - the ones that crack easy. Those aren’t your problem.

The spots that are actually stuck and tight? You can’t reach those yourself. Those are what’s causing your pain. When you keep cracking the loose spots over and over, you’re stretching them out even more, making things worse.

Mike was shocked when I told him he was making it worse. We started working on the right spots, told him to stop cracking his own neck. Pain improved, headaches decreased.

If you’re constantly cracking your own neck and it’s not actually helping, comment NECK.

You’re not fixing it. You’re making it worse.

A recent study found that people who took 3-minute movement breaks every 45 minutes during their workday had better results than those who did a single 30-minute workout.

Simple stuff - standing up, doing 10 squats, or walking around.

When you sit for hours without moving, everything gets tight and stiff. Short breaks keep things loose.
Set a timer. Stand up every 45 minutes. Walk. Do some squats.

Your back doesn’t need intense workouts. It needs consistent movement throughout the day.

Save this if you sit most of the day.

Why you’re stiff - and what to do about it

You’re stiff. Your neck’s tight. Your back won’t move right. Your hips feel locked up.

Here’s why: you don’t move enough.
You sit all day. Same position for hours. Your body adapts to that. It gets tight. It gets stiff. That’s what happens when you don’t move.

What mobility actually means:
Increasing flexibility in tight areas. Working on the spots that feel stuck. Hip mobility. Shoulder mobility. Neck movement.

This isn’t about going to the gym. It’s about moving the areas that have gotten tight from not moving.

The problem most people have:
It’s not that they never move. It’s that they don’t do it often enough. You stretch once, feel better for an hour, then go back to sitting for eight hours. The tightness comes back.

What actually works:
Move regularly. A few minutes every day. Work on the areas that feel tight. Stay consistent with it.
Movement reduces pain and stiffness. When you move regularly, your body stays loose. When you don’t, it tightens up.

It’s straightforward:
Your body gets tight when it doesn’t move. Move it regularly, it stays flexible. Ignore it, it gets worse.
If you’re always stiff, the answer is simple: you need to move more often.

Start with a few minutes daily. Work on hip mobility. Shoulder mobility. Neck movement. The areas that feel tight.

Do it consistently. Not once in a while. Daily.
That’s how you stay loose instead of getting stiffer.

Weekend Reset: 5 Habits to Protect Your Spine

Most people treat weekends like their spine can suddenly handle anything after sitting all week.

You spend 40+ hours hunched over a desk, then Saturday morning you’re moving furniture, doing yard work, and playing sports like your body didn’t just survive 5 days of dysfunction.

Your spine adapted to sitting. Your joints got stiff. Your muscles forgot how to fire properly. Your nervous system learned to function around restriction.

That’s why weekend activities leave you more sore than they should. Your spine isn’t prepared for the sudden physical demands you’re placing on it.

When you sit all week, your hip flexors tighten, your thoracic spine rounds forward, and your glutes shut off. Then you ask this compromised system to perform like an athlete.

Your spine needs preparation, not shock therapy. Five minutes of movement before yard work prevents hours of Monday morning stiffness. Changing positions during projects keeps joints from locking up. Lifting with proper mechanics protects your back when it’s already vulnerable.

The difference between weekend warriors who feel great and those who don’t isn’t age or fitness - it’s preparation.

Your spine will handle weekend demands when you prepare it properly.

Save this if you want Monday mornings that don’t hurt.

First Adjustment - What Actually Happens

You’ve probably heard the popping sound. Maybe you’re wondering if it’ll hurt.

Here’s what to expect:
We’ll walk you through everything before it happens.

No surprises.

About that popping sound:
It’s gas releasing from the joint. That’s it. Some people’s joints make the sound, some don’t. Both are completely normal, and both work.

Does it hurt?
Most people expect it to. It doesn’t. Usually, people are surprised by how much better it feels than they imagined.

What you need to know:
We explain what we’re doing and why before every adjustment. If something doesn’t feel right, you tell us and we adjust our approach.

That’s it. No pressure. Just information so you can make the right choice for yourself.

Questions about your first visit? Just ask.

You’re scared I’m going to make it worse? Let me tell you about Rachel.”

She waited six months to call. Her neck was killing her but she was terrified. ‘What if you adjust me and I can’t move? What if I’m in more pain?

So instead of calling, she’s living on ibuprofen. Can’t turn her head to check her blind spot. Sleeping propped up on three pillows. Missing work because the pain’s so bad. All because she was scared I’d make it worse.

Here’s what actually happened: She came in. We adjusted her. She looked at me and said ‘That’s it? That felt good.’

Sometimes there’s soreness after - like you worked out. That means we made a change and your body’s adapting. But that’s different from making it worse. Most people who get adjusted tell me it feels relieving.

You’re already in pain. You’re already not moving right. What are you protecting?

If fear is keeping you from feeling better, that’s the real problem.

Staying in pain because you’re scared of more pain doesn’t make sense.

10/26/2025

What’s that popping noise when you get adjusted? Let me explain.

This is the number one question I get. People hear that pop and think something’s breaking. It’s not.

So you’re sitting at home in pain because you’re afraid of a noise. Meanwhile, you have no idea what that sound actually is.

Here’s what happens: Your joints have gas in them. When I adjust you, that gas gets released. That’s the pop.

It’s like cracking your knuckles. Nothing’s breaking. And you don’t even need the pop for it to work - sometimes it pops, sometimes it doesn’t.

Both are fine.

It’s just gas. That’s it.

If that sound’s been keeping you away, now you know.

Comment POP.

Stop being scared of a noise.
