Happy Earth Day!

Did you know standing outside barefoot is beneficial and has a scientific name? Grounding, or earthing, is the practice of standing on the ground barefoot to absorb the Earth’s natural electric charge.

According to the National Library of Medicine, grounding produces positive effects on inflammation, immune responses, wound healing, and can be beneficial in the treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. "I just wanted to share how much we truly appreciate Ms. Maddy. Dad usually takes J to his sessions, but I was able to attend this past Tuesday and see him in action again.

She had already arranged for Ms. Rita to observe the session and provide feedback on some of the vestibular and vision exercises she was working on with J. I really appreciate her initiative and commitment to continuously learning and providing the best possible care for him.

At his recent eye exam, his doctor was so impressed with his progress. She asked what we’ve been doing at home, and I had to admit—not much! I shared that he’s been attending OT twice a week, along with support from his SPED teacher using a letter-writing sheet that the doctor provided. Her response was that OT must be doing an amazing job—and we couldn’t agree more.

Because of his progress, we don’t need another in-person follow-up for six months, which feels like a huge win.

I just wanted to pass along our sincere thanks. Ms. Maddy brings such positive energy, dedication, and care to her work, and we feel very grateful that she is working with J."
