✨ Mindfulness Leadership Training – Week 3 Wrap-Up ✨

Yesterday marked the tailend of Week 3 in our Mindfulness Leadership journey, and what a powerful day it was. We joined the Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club at Generations Park for their Superhero Day, where our trainees had the opportunity to lead and share the mindfulness practices they’ve been learning with the youth.

We were honored to have Ti Tsye Danforth with us for traditional teachings. He guided us through what became the most powerful meditation experience yet—one that allowed many of us to reconnect with loved ones and ancestors who have passed on. There were tears, reflection, and deep healing.

We are so proud of our trainees for stepping into leadership and sharing from the heart. What a beautiful way to close the week—with community, tradition, and transformation. 💫

🌿 Mindfulness Leadership Training – Week Two Wrap-Up 🌿

We wrapped up an incredible second week of our Mindfulness Leadership Training! Last week, we were joined by the St.regis Mohawk Tribe Alcohol/chemical Dependency Program, who led an impactful session on the dangers of va**ng and ma*****na use among youth — an important conversation that sparked reflection and awareness.

We also took time to connect with nature at beautiful Burke Falls, where we enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the waterfall and grounded ourselves through mindful yoga practices. 💧🧘‍♀️

Today, we stepped into leadership roles by guiding mindfulness practices with a middle school summer school group — sharing what we’ve learned and putting our skills into action. 💬🌱

Mindfulness Leadership Training – Week Two, Day Three🌲

We began our morning following our usual mindfulness routine—grounding ourselves through movement, breathwork, and intention setting🧘🏼‍♂️

In the afternoon, we took our practice to the St. Lawrence River, where we bonded as a team, shared laughs, and enjoyed the healing power of nature by swimming in the water. A perfect way to refresh our minds and strengthen our connection. 🌊💙
We ended our day with an eagle sighting!🦅

🌿 Mindfulness Leadership Training – Week 2, Day 2 🌿

Today we continued deepening our journey with the Five Rights, explored new mindful movement practices, and did a grounding meditation.

We were also grateful to welcome Chelsea Dodd from Seaway Valley Prevention Council who guided us through Bridges Out of Poverty training—bringing powerful insight into the barriers our communities face and how we can help build stronger, more compassionate connections.

Each day we grow together—mind, body, and heart. 💚

✨ Mindfulness Leadership Training – Week Two Kickoff! ✨
We started off Week Two with powerful sessions to help build our leadership from the inside out. Lisa Jock joined us again to guide a conversation on mindset and the power of positive thinking, helping us reframe and refocus. 🌿

We moved our bodies, centered ourselves with a short meditation, and created space for reflection and growth.

We also had the pleasure of learning from Jenn Hutchins who led a session on classroom management, grounding us in the importance of communication and community through a Talking Circle.

We had some powerful breakthroughs today and built a stronger connection as a group.

Holistic Life Foundation Akwesasne proudly participated in the 2025 Color Run, spreading wellness, joy, and vibrant energy every step of the way! 💖

From the starting line to the finish, our team celebrated community, movement, and fun – all while getting color-blasted in the name of health and healing. 🌀✨

Mindfulness Leadership Training – Day 5

Today was all about reconnecting with the natural world. 🌿💧
We started our day at the beautiful Lampson Falls, where we swam and soaked in the peaceful sounds of nature. Later, we gathered at Postwood Park Beach to close our day with a reflective talking circle and a calming mini meditation.

Mindfulness Leadership Training – Days 3 & 4🌿

What an inspiring couple of days! We were honored to be joined by Lisa Jock, who guided us through the powerful benefits of essential oils. We also had Darren Bonaparte, who shared deep and meaningful traditional teachings with us.

We continued to strengthen our practice with movement, breathing techniques, and mindful presence. Each session has been a step closer to becoming more grounded, aware, and connected — both within ourselves and with each other.

Mindfulness Leadership Training – Day 2 🌿

Today was another beautiful step forward on our journey. We began with grounding meditation and breathwork, followed by a rejuvenating yoga practice to reconnect with our bodies and intentions. 🧘‍♀️✨

In the afternoon, we took a medicine walk — a time to reflect in nature, listen deeply, and notice the messages the world offers when we slow down. 🌳💬

We ended the day with a scavenger hunt that brought playfulness, connection, and presence into our learning. It was a perfect mix of movement, mindfulness, and meaning. 💫
