Our facility is open 8 AM - 6 PM, Monday-Saturday.

Lewis Health Center offers care for the Hohenwald community with adult and pediatric primary care, imaging, lab services, physical therapy and a specialist clinic. Lewis Health Center provides Lewis County and the surrounding area with outpatient health care and wellness services, including primary care, imaging, laboratory and physical therapy.

Lewis Health Center is offering walk-in screening mammograms July 16 from 1 to 4 p.m., no appointment required.

Most insurance plans cover the cost of an annual screening mammogram. For those who qualify and are uninsured, the Tennessee Department of Health will also be available at this time to provide free screening mammograms through the Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program. Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2025, becoming one of only 323 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. This is the first time that Maury Regional has received the Platinum designation after previously earning gold in 2023 and 2024.

The award recognizes Maury Regional’s commitment to implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients as outlined by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.

Maury Regional Health hosted a blessing event on July 8 to celebrate the completion of two new mother/baby rooms and a new labor and delivery room in the Women’s Center at Maury Regional Medical Center.

These additions support the health system’s continued commitment toward reimagining patient care and follow a record-breaking number of births at Maury Regional Medical Center in 2023 and 2024. These three new rooms offer additional space, comfort and privacy for the growing number of families choosing Maury Regional Health for their care.

The Mental Health & Guidance Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month (7/8) at 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Life Solutions Office at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. It is a support group for ages 65 and older experiencing depression and anxiety.

W. Cason Shirley, MD, recently performed his 2,000th robotic-arm assisted orthopedic procedure using Stryker’s Mako System for knee and hip replacements.

“Performing my 2,000th Mako robotic surgery is extremely rewarding,” said Dr. Shirley. “It is an honor to use this innovative technology that revolutionizes joint replacement surgeries in our region, allowing us to individually tailor surgical plans to our patients for better outcomes.”

Congratulations to Kevin Greene, BSN, RN, from 3W, for winning the DAISY Award!

“My mother passed away in April, but during her final days at Maury Regional, Kevin’s care made all the difference. From the moment he introduced himself, he showed genuine kindness and compassion and not only to my mother, but to our entire family. He took time to explain things, comforted us during difficult moments and never made us feel like a burden, even with other patients to care for. My mother felt at ease with him. She looked forward to seeing him each shift and even greeted him with a smile on one of her final days, saying, ‘Good morning, Kevin, I’m so glad to see you.’ His presence brought her peace, and his care brought us comfort. Kevin went above and beyond in every way, and we will always remember him as the best nurse we could have asked for. Maury Regional Medical Center is blessed to have Kevin!”

The Lewis Health Center team was proud to offer free sports physicals for 151 middle and high school student-athletes from Lewis County Schools, TN.

The physicals were provided by multiple Lewis Health Center team members — including Mitchell Batts, ATC, who serves as the athletic trainer for Lewis County Schools; primary care providers Charles Hunter Prejean, MD, and Bailee Horton, FNP-C; and Tabitha Osborne, LPN — in partnership with Sasha Powers and Shannon Denton from Lewis County Schools.
