🎪 Step Right Up for a Life-Saving Cause! 🎪

Join the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation for the 33rd Annual Dinner & Auction on Saturday, June 13th, themed “Big Tops, Big Hearts: One Life-Saving Mission.”

This year’s benefit will support BioFire diagnostic technology, helping providers quickly identify viruses and bacteria in about an hour so patients can receive faster, life-saving care close to home.

The evening will take place at the Columbus Club Hall in Hoisington and includes a catered dinner sponsored by Nex-Tech, Nex-Tech Wireless, and Superior Essex. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Danton Riedl featuring chicken-fried steaks, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a dinner roll, and sheet cake.

Doors open at 6:00 PM with dinner served at 6:30 PM. Dinner tickets are $35 and must be purchased by Wednesday, June 3rd. All attendees will also be entered into a door prize drawing from Music Theatre Wichita for a $100 voucher toward the show of their choice!

The event will feature both a live in-person auction and an online silent auction. Dinner guests will have access to exclusive live auction items and experiences, while community members at home can still participate and bid online on a wide variety of other auction items.

What a week! 🎉

We had an incredible time celebrating the amazing employees who make Clara Barton Medical Center such a special place each and every day. From pancakes to ice cream sundaes, and all sorts of snacks in between, the week was filled with fun, laughter, teamwork, and plenty of friendly competition!

Throughout the week, staff enjoyed department bingo and our department showdown challenges featuring rock-paper-scissors, blackjack, flip cup, tug of war, and an intense Family Feud championship battle! 💪🏆

Congratulations to our Maintenance Department for taking home the win and officially claiming the Spirit Stick bragging rights! 👏🏽

Thank you to all of our employees for everything you do for our patients and our organization each and every day. Hospital Week was all about celebrating YOU - and what a fun celebration it was! 💚

🌿 Wellness Wednesdays are back! 🌿

Join us on the second Wednesday of each month from May to October as we focus on physical, mental, and social well-being together. These events are open to the public and include a group walk along with short wellness presentations from our providers. 👩🏻‍⚕️🩺👨🏻‍⚕️

This month’s presentation will feature Kelci Burkey, PA-C, as she discusses her transition into her new role as a women’s health provider and how it differs from family health care.

We are incredibly thankful for the compassionate, skilled, and dedicated nurses throughout our organization. You are there during life’s hardest moments, offering comfort, support, encouragement, and exceptional care to our patients and their families.

It takes a special kind of person to be a nurse, and we are truly blessed with the best - including several wonderful nurses missing from these photos! Thank you for going above and beyond and for caring so deeply for our rural communities.

We are thrilled to announce that Diana Quiroz has been selected as the 2026 DAISY Award recipient for our Rural Hospital Award! 👏🏻 🌼

The DAISY Award is a prestigious global program established to honor extraordinary nurses who provide exceptional care. CBMC introduced this program in January 2024 to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of our nurses. Each year, both a Hospital Nurse and a Clinic Nurse will be selected as DAISY Award winners.

Diana's nomination came with an incredibly heartfelt acknowledgement that perfectly captures why she is so deserving of this honor.

"Not enough can be said about Diana's work ethic and attitude. She jumps into any situation willing to help with other duties they know as well as a nurse and gives gold star nursing care to all patients. This person deservers a bouquet of daises for all they for for every department"

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming 6th grade students from Hoisington, Central Plains, and Otis-Bison for our Annual 6th Grade Health Fair!

This event gives students a behind-the-scenes look at the many departments throughout our hospital and the important roles our healthcare professionals play every single day. From hands-on activities to interactive demonstrations, our staff always goes above and beyond to make learning fun, engaging, and memorable.

We love giving students the opportunity to explore the world of healthcare, ask questions, and start thinking about future careers where they can make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you to all the students, schools, and our incredible staff for helping make this year’s event such a success!
