Update from the HB Turtle Patrol - Holden Beach Turtle Patrol 2026 T-Shirt Contest Results Are In And The Winner Is…….
Addison Hedin, a freshman at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and Terrie Buchner who is an active member of the Holden Beach Turtle Patrol. Their collaborative design, Every Turtle Counts,,,Every Action Matters, reflects the shared commitment to sea turtle conservation, education and environmental stewardship that defines the Turtle Patrol mission.

Update from the HB Turtle Patrol - When they're gone...they're gone. The HBTP has a limited supply of the 2025 Holden Beach Turtle Patrol shirts still available. The theme is "Let the sea set you free". There's a new shirt every year, if you haven't gotten this shirt this is your chance at great prices. Youth shirts $8, Adult Shirts $10 and Long-sleeve adult $12. Limited sizes available while supplies last. See the HBTP website for photos of all the past shirts. This one will soon be among them. Update from Mayor Holden/Emergency Management Director - Solid Waste Collection

GFL has notified us that they are unable to run today due to the condition of the roads. They are working on a recovery plan. Details will be communicated once we are notified of the revised schedule.

Update from Mayor Holden/Emergency Management Director -

Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Staff will be assessing Town facilities, such as walkways. Please make sure to assess your property, including decks as brutal weather with the amount of snow load can cause additional stress on the structure. If you need to report a water/sewer emergency, please use the after-hours process and contact the Police Department by dialing 911.

Update from Mayor Holden/Emergency Management Director - The Holden Beach bridge is open. Roads on the island are treacherous. Unnecessary travel is discouraged. Travel at your own risk.
