✨️Gratitude✨️
Seeing the good in a world that feels heavy can change the brain 🧠
The more we are able to take note of the magic in the mudane, the small moments of beautiful connection and the little things that bring us joy, the better we feel.
When things feel heavy, try to see the good, these special moments, the humor and silliness, and share laughter- even if it's at yourself! 🤗

✨️Chai✨️🍵🦔
This sharp little fella is Chai!
He's an African Pygmy Hedgehog, also know as the four-toed hedgehog 🦔
Chai is part of the animal-assisted therapy team here at Wild Heart Sanctuary and his skills are unmatched in helping people learn about boundaries, patience, & trust!
Only once you've been patient and respected his boundaries will he come out of his small prickly ball to say hello!
And these are not a skills that you will regret practicing because the reward is seeing his cute little face & feeding him a little snack 🦔

Animals can teach us many things- simply by being themselves!
With the help of a facilitator- here at Wild Heart in the form of a licensed counselor, we can explore what their natural behaviors teach us and bring up about how we relate to ourselves, others, & the world around us! 🌎

There is a lot more to this process so follow along to learn more about Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy! 🐾

This beautiful mare comes to us from Soulstice Ranch Equine Sanctuary who did an amazing job raising this sweet little mustang ✨️🐎
A true wild heart- we are so thankful to have her join us here as part of our animal-assisted therapy team 💗

🩰The Lady Slippers here at Wild Heart Sanctuary are blossoming 🩰
Lady Slippers are a species of orchid that have a symbiotic relationship with a fungus that provides it with the nutrients it needs to grow 🍄
They live in damp forest soil & prefer areas shaded by the trees🌲
This is one of our favorite flowers here & grows right along the walking path 🌿
