My thoughts are with the Bertrand community and everyone in the surrounding area following the tragic accident this morning.

As a small rural community, we all feel these losses deeply. To all who are impacted by this heartbreaking loss:

There are no words that can make something like this easier. If you are struggling today or in the days ahead, please don’t hesitate to lean on the people around you or reach out for support. Grief is heavy, and it’s not something anyone has to carry alone.

Lately, I’ve been sitting with so many people who are tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.

Overwhelmed. Anxious. Carrying things that feel too heavy and too constant. And if I’m being honest..this isn’t just something I see in the therapy room. It’s everywhere right now.

If this is you, I want you to hear this clearly: there is nothing “wrong” with you for struggling in a hard season. Your mind and body are responding exactly how humans do when life feels uncertain, heavy, or too much.

But also, this is not where your story has to stay.

There is hope. There are ways to feel more steady, more supported, more like yourself again. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Whether it’s reaching out to a therapist, opening up to someone you trust, or simply naming “this is hard” out loud. That counts. That matters.

You are not alone in this. Not even a little bit. Support is available when you are ready.

This year has been difficult for a lot of people, and for so many different reasons.

If you are struggling with hopelessness, intrusive thoughts, or thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out. Even if your mind tells you there’s no way forward. Even if you feel like a burden. You are not alone. You do not have to walk this path alone. Help is out there.

It has officially been a week since we opened in the new suite and I’m honestly still taking it in. This space already feels so inviting and includes more room to grow. I’m so excited about the opportunities ahead, we now have space for group therapy and a dedicated room for art and play therapy! Grateful for this next chapter and for the ways this new environment will support deeper connection, creativity, and healing. Here are a few pictures of the lobby and my office, art room pics to come in the near future! Also, be on the look out for more details on a ribbon cutting and open house in the next month!

Just a reminder, the office will be closed tomorrow for New years and moving into the new suite. Sessions will resume as scheduled Friday.

As we step out of 2025 and into 2026 I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have trusted Healthy Horizons with your journey. This past year has been full of challenges, growth, and healing.

Whether you're taking small steps, making big changes, or finding peace in the quiet moments, remember that growth isn’t linear. It's okay to not have all the answers. What's important is that you're here, showing up for yourself.

In this new year, Healthy Horizons is here to support you, offering a safe space for healing, understanding, and self-compassion. Whatever your goals are for 2026, know that you don’t have to face them alone.

Wishing you a year filled with growth, peace, and moments of joy. You matter, and you are enough.

I just can't wait any longer to share the news!! The practice is moving! Though I love the current location, this little business has grown so much that I needed something bigger. I will be just down the hall from my current location, but with the new space comes many opportunities. I plan to be moved in the first week of January!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a calm, refreshing weekend after the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving.

Now that the cold weather has arrived, I want to remind everyone of our winter weather policy.

For the safety of all clients:

If local schools are closed due to weather, or roads are not safe to travel on, my office will be closed. All scheduled sessions on those days will automatically move to telehealth. I will send out a notice via email and/or text to all scheduled clients when this occurs.
If weather or personal circumstances make it difficult for you to attend your session, please feel free to reach out and let me know. Your safety and well-being always come first.
Stay warm, stay safe, and take good care of yourselves this season. 🤍
