I want to take a minute to share with our therapy patients or future therapy patients a little bit about the Referral process. It's important that everyone understands that after an orthopedic surgery our patients must be evaluated and seen within a specific number of days which varies depending on the type of surgery they had. So for example, Mr Smith has a knee replacement and his surgeon refers Mr Smith for Physical Therapy. The Referral for Mr Smith will state something along the lines of INITIATE PT 4 DAYS POST OP. So we get Mr Smith in for his initial evaluation 4 days after his surgery. Because of this, our post op patients take scheduling priority over our non surgery patients. We have had a significant increase this summer of post op referrals. Our schedule is full right now and our first opening for a non surgical patient is 3 weeks out. My therapists have back to back patients all day every day and often overlapping some just to get everyone seen. So you can imagine the devastation we feel when someone fails to keep their scheduled appointment time. These time slots are precious as we do not have enough of them as it is. It's imperative that you call us with as much notice as possible if you can't make it to your scheduled appointment so that we can get someone who is waiting and hurting or struggling in instead. Please share this information with your friends, family and neighbors. We don't like making our clients wait and are doing our best. Having dedicated patients that are making therapy a priority and attending according to their plan of care is critical. Every wasted hour do to a no show or last minute cancelation really puts a knife in our side because it increases the wait time for other patients who really need us. Thank you all for your patience as we work hard to give the very best in rehab services and with the least amount of wait possible.

Wow! Shell K**b showed up in full stride! We had a constant line from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. of smiling faces ready to join!
A huge thank you to all those who made us feel so welcomed today including the fine board members of the Shell K**b Chamber of Commerce.
Staff will be onsite all day Friday for those who need assistance with the app and getting started! The name of the new member who receives a free locker rental for one year will be revealed tomorrow! Stay tuned!
