Anxiety can come at unpredictable times. When you feel it coming, the goal is to try and not let it build to an unmanagable level. Try the 3-3-3 rule as a grounding technique to center you in the present moment.

Our Pre-marital course was a huge success. We hope you will join us for the next one. If you attended let us know your thought in the comments!

Hard conversations can be scary because you don't know what the outcome will be. They can keep you stuck in a cycle of fear and anxiety until you are able to communicate your thoughts or needs. It takes bravery and courage to be able to share your heart, we beleive that even when the outcome doesn't go as you had hoped, it's creates self esteem to allows you to move forward.

All of us have rules that we may not even be aware of, exprectations of how we expect other people to behave.

When we are not aware of these rules and don't communicate them with others, we set ourselves up for disapointment in our lives and in our relationships.

We encourage you to uncover your rules and communicate them to the people in your life.

We love teaching box breathing to our clients who struggle with anxiety. When slower breathing is introduced the slow holding of breath allows carbon dioxide to build up in the blood lowering your blood pressure. This will provide an almost immediate sense of calm. The increased amount of blood Co2 enhances the response of the vagus nerve as you exhale, which ideally will allow the anxiety to decrease.

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, learning this technique can help you and others who may struggle. Try this technique or pass it on to those it may help.

To motivate your Monday here are 5 tried and true tips from our own Millcreek Counseling Therapists.

1) Get back to a routine
2) Plan for the week
3) Make a list of to do's
4)Get the least desirable things done first
5) Reward yourself with time to do what you really want to do

Get started on this list today and see how well your week flows. When you set goals and write down a list of how to reach then you will be amazed at how easily they can be accomplished! Good luck and make it a great week!

Take the time today to really connect with your kids. Find small moments like driving carpool or driving them to an appointment to sit back and listen. Instead of asking questions like “how was your day?” Ask things like “Who did you sit by at lunch?” or “Whatbwas the funniest thing that happened at school today?”

As a conversation starts to flow real connections will be made and you’ll learn so much more about how amazing and incredible your child is and get insight into where they struggle and how you can help them.

What are some way you help foster connection? Let us know in the comments!

To start manifesting, be clear about your goals.
“You are the only one who dreams your dreams, so whether it's a new partner and a healthy relationship or a better job, know it and own it.”

Whatever you desire, one thing is essential: Make your intention as specific as possible.

What goals are you setting today?!

Yes, this. Love it. What goals are you writing down today to manifest for your future?

Could you use some good luck? Consider writing down your goals and manifesting what you would like to happen in your life. You may be surprised what happens when you have a tangible list of your goals and how you can achieve them.
Stay tuned this week for more info on manifesting and setting goals!

We will be focusing on what you manifest to bring you joy, luck, happiness, or just what gets you through the day. This March is a “March of Manifestations!” Please share with us something you manifest to bring you joy.

Finding small moments in every day things can help you appreciate where you are now as you journey to your goals. What are some things that you do to take time to recognize and appreciate where you are now?

That’s right. Love where you are right now. We are all working towards something and many still aren’t seeing the results they desire, the way to get there is to live where you are on your journey. Find happiness in the small things. Appreciate moments of clarity. Keep working on your goals and enjoy yourself along the way.

Have a safe and happy holiday!
