Normally I post before and afters from my cosmetic cases same day. This case literally took us from 8am - 10 pm!!! We were all done that day and wanted to go home! I love taking the after video a few days later so the gingiva heals nicely and can see the actual smile not drooping lips from anesthetic 😂 she gave me an old photo and we made some magic!

Great start to spring break… Top Golf and back to back escape rooms. We escaped both of them. Super fun working together!!!

So today was a crazy, busy day and this patient came in at 1pm and needed a tooth root removed and bone grafting performed. She is between jobs and doesn’t have insurance so she wanted to wait until she gets dental benefits with her new job. She didn’t have the money to something permanent so I gave her an option of a clear retainer with a plastic tooth locked inside the retainer. She came back 3 hours later and I was able to have it made between patients with my 3D printer. She was so excited about how it fit and feels in her mouth! So grateful for amazing technology and awesome patients!!!!

Such a super sad case! This is the grandson of someone I worked with at my Dad’s orthodontic office growing up. She called me early in the morning as I was getting on the treadmill. Her grandson suffers from grand mal seizures a lot and he had one and fell right on his face knocking out his front tooth. His Mom put it in milk which is good if it can’t be reinserted immediately. They got to me within an hour and I removed the orthodontic wire which you can see was mangled. Took the three brackets and got them ready to recement to the teeth. After anesthetic set in, I used a spoon curette to remove granulation tissue inside the socket site and reestablished bleeding, then I placed the tooth back in. I always check their “bite” and when he hit his face it pushed the bone inward so he only bites on the two front teeth. I had to support the teeth and force the buffalo bone outward until his bite was correct. When putting the brackets on I made it so the new wire put an upward force on the tooth I replanted to help hold it into place. 🤞 I am hopefully with his young age the tooth will heal with no problems. There is a chance the tooth will need root canal treatment. Ultimately if the body rejects it, we will have to remove the tooth and bone graft for future implant. He was so brave and had such a good attitude for the tough hand life has dealt him!
