Are you curious about yoga but don't know where to start? Check out Amy's upcoming Beginner's Yoga series...

This series is designed to introduce you to the practice of yoga. We will explore the physical postures as well as learn about the importance of focusing on our breath and bringing awareness to the mind-body connection. We will also discuss some of the history and philosophy of the practice over the course of the six weeks.

The series will cover alignment of commonly used postures and optional variations as well as the use of props. You will get to know all the props available and learn to use them in a way that supports you best.

This series is intended to support folks brand new to yoga but it is also acceptable for folks who have had a regular practice and just want to hear the basics over again.

These classes take place on Tuesdays at 6:00-7:00PM September 30-November 4.

In yoga philosophy, energy doesn’t just move through the muscles and breath, it flows through subtle pathways called nāḍīs.

The nāḍīs are like rivers of life force (prana) that weave through the body, connecting our physical, mental, and spiritual layers. Ancient texts describe 72,000 channels, but three are considered the most vital:

🌙 Ida — lunar, cooling, calming, linked with the left side of the body.
☀️ Pingala — solar, warming, activating, linked with the right side.
🌀 Sushumna — the central channel, where balance and awakening unfold.

When these pathways are clear, prana flows freely— supporting harmony, vitality, and inner connection.

Yoga practices like asana, breathwork, and meditation help cleanse and balance the nāḍīs, so we can move closer to equilibrium — body, mind, and spirit.

We are excited to announce a new addition to our fitness program here at Trio Wellspace!

Starting next Tuesday, September 23 at 8:30am, join Tracie for a Mat Pilates class with emphasis on posture and alignment, building strength, mobility, balance and flexibility. Focused breathing and movement makes Pilates a mind/body exercise increasing body awareness.

Expect a low impact workout with variations and modifications to suit all levels. beginners welcome.

Pilates isn’t about memorising exercises, it’s about feeling them.

You don’t need a degree to know when your body feels aligned, supported and alive.

Whether you’re deepening your own practice or guiding others through theirs, Pilates teaches us to listen, not just to muscles but to movement. When we slow down enough to hear, that’s when movement starts to speak.

This idea is at the heart of the Pilates method: mind, body & spirit. And it’s what I remind myself often when in my own practice.

For Pilates teachers and lifelong learners alike, this is your reminder to move with presence, not performance. Precision, but with a purpose. And 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!
