Veterinary reception is not “just answering phones.”

It is emotional triage.
It is operational control.
It is being kind when people are rude.
It is being precise when everything is moving at once.
And somehow still smiling through all of it.

That is not “just reception.”
That is skill.
That is labor.
That is intelligence.
That is leadership.

The Vet CSR exists because this role deserves to be seen clearly.

This coming week, we celebrate Veterinary Receptionist Week (April 19–25) — a time to recognize the incredible individuals who keep everything running smoothly at Buck Rd Animal Hospital 🐾

Our veterinary receptionists are so much more than a friendly face at the front desk. They are the first voice you hear and the last one you see, helping guide you and your pets through every visit with compassion and care. From managing busy schedules and answering countless questions to supporting worried pet parents, they truly do it all.

Their kindness, patience, and dedication make a difference every single day — not just for our team, but for every pet and family we serve. 💙

🐾☀️ Warm Weather Pet Safety Reminder! ☀️🐾

As temperatures rise, let’s keep our furry friends safe and comfortable!

🚗 Never leave pets in parked cars
💧 Always provide fresh water & shade
🌅 Exercise during early morning or evening hours

⚠️ Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or lethargy—especially in short-nosed breeds, senior pets, and overweight animals.

If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help keep your pets happy and healthy all season long! 🐶🐱💙

🌿 April is Prevent Lyme Disease in Dogs Month! 🐾

Spring is here—and so are deer ticks. These tiny pests can carry the bacteria that cause Lyme disease in dogs. While Lyme disease can lead to serious health problems, the good news is it’s preventable!

This month, we’re helping dog owners learn how to protect their furry friends. Simple steps like using tick preventatives, checking your dog after outdoor adventures, and talking with your veterinarian about vaccines can make a big difference.

🐶 Take action this April—prevent Lyme disease and keep your dog healthy!
Call us or schedule a checkup to learn the best ways to protect your pup.
