Thursday Baking Class enjoyed making Key Lime Pie!
Key lime pie's origins are debated, but it's widely believed to have originated in the Florida Keys in the late 19th century. Early settlers, lacking refrigeration, likely adapted a recipe using the locally abundant key limes, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk.

However, some historians point to similarities with a Borden Milk Company recipe from 1931 for "Magic Lemon Cream Pie" and suggest the Key lime pie recipe may have been developed to promote condensed milk sales.
