Around the world of Clubhouse: This month we're in London, UK!

Discover how Mosaic Clubhouse is using fresh communication strategies to spark connection and engagement across the Clubhouse community.

Here at Mosaic Clubhouse, we have a communications group that meets weekly to share ideas for social media content. This often includes highlighting cultural special days and upcoming courses and classes at the clubhouse.

However, after many quiet meetings we needed to try something new to attract a new group of members to attend. We decided to move the meeting to a Monday afternoon after our well attended, young adults meeting to try to engage them whilst they were on site. It also makes sense to plan the weeks social media on the first day of that week too.

This has been a great success with many young adults now engaging in social media content creation at the communications meeting. Many members like Zak, MD, Lou and others have enjoyed getting involved thanks to a simple change in when the meeting is hosted.

Clubhouse participation isn’t just life-changing—it’s cost-saving.

According to recent modeling, the 60,000 people served annually by Clubhouses yield an estimated $11,000+ in savings per person, totaling over $682 million each year.

If Clubhouses were resourced to reach even 5% of the 15.4 million U.S. adults living with serious mental illness, the net societal benefit would exceed $8.5 billion—along with a dramatic improvement in quality of life for countless individuals, families, and communities.

Recovery is possible. Community makes it sustainable. Now is the time to fund what works: preventative, community-based mental health care that promotes dignity, connection, and real outcomes.

We’re proud to join Clubhouses across the country in opening our doors to legislators and community leaders to highlight the power of community-based mental health care.

An overwhelming majority of Americans agree that mental health care is a basic human need. We all recognize the problem—now it’s time to fund the solution. We need to invest in holistic, community-based approaches and pay for prevention and intervention—not just emergencies.
