Congrats Kraig- Pickleball Champ!

Our featured patient today is Kraig Smith, who is an avid pickleball player.

He was being limited on the court by pain when he came to the office for help. But after working with Dr. Rob this summer, he’s been able to play at his best, winning multiple tournaments.

Congrats to Kraig and his wife on winning the Hope College Summer Bash and Coast Guard Fest mixed doubles!

✨Garett Ely LMT, MMT✨
Medical Massage Therapist

Garett Ely is a certified Licensed Medical Massage Therapist from Dorr, Michigan. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University and is certified by The Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts & Sciences in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He completed over 200 clinic hours and 55 massage hours while at The Blue Heron Academy, utilizing scientific principles and evidence-based treatment practices in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.

In his free time, Garett enjoys staying active by exercising and enjoying outdoor activities. He looks forward to bringing his passion to Great Lakes Spine and Sport - dedicated to providing exceptional care to each and every client.

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions to the golf swing. It has determined how physical limitations in a players swing can adversely affect the golf swing, performance, and potentially lead to injury. It also helps players understand if technical elements of their swing are related to what their body can and cannot do.

Dr. Christian had the privilege to attend the TPI Medical level 3 seminar a few weeks ago allowing him and the team at Great Lakes Spine & Sport to properly assess and treat golfers of all ranges.

Whether you’re in pain, trying to get back on the course or wanting to improve performance to play with the pros, we will be able to provide you with a detailed golf performance assessment and develop a path for you!

Originally from Cincinnati, he is excited to help you with foot, elbow, knee, spine, challenging cases of radiating nerve pain, and more. Dr. Rob has 5+ years of experience treating busy parents, runners, martial artists, and young motivated athletes.

Beyond his degree, he has spent 200+ hours of continuing education to help better serve his patients. He is certified in the McKenzie Method and practices in a unique hybrid approach of both physical therapy and chiropractic.

Above all else, Dr. Rob believes you should be educated and empowered to get back to an active, enjoyable lifestyle!
