Our Vintage Fashion Show is tomorrow! We have an amazing group of models and nearly 30 outfits to show! Come join us tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 to step back in time and see the glamor of the 1920s through the 1980s!

The Vintage Fashion Show is making its return! We are in need of models! Get in touch with Audrey by Thursday, November 13 if you'd like to participate in this unique opportunity! Fittings will take place on Tuesday, the 18th throughout the afternoon.

Even after the sun goes down after dinner, the activity room is still buzzing! A new 1000 piece puzzle and two groups of card players!

Each year during the holiday season, we try to find some way to give back to our community! This year we will have two opportunities to give back. As usual, we are a collection point for Toys for Tots, created by the Marine Corps, that strives to "through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s economically disadvantaged children" by collecting new, unwrapped toys.
In addition, we are partnering with Community Action House to provide shelf stable food products and household goods to those in need. CAH "exists to provide area families and individuals with food, clothing, shelter, and the opportunity to build necessary skills to achieve a stable and prosperous life". Our donation boxes are available for drop offs from now until December 18! See poster for the most needed items for CAH!

We had a staff bake-off! Blind judged by our thoughtful, impartial residents and staff! 5 of our staff members brought in delicious baked goods and it was so hard to choose! The top three had to be voted on again due to a 3-way tie but Min’s Hershey Cake “took the cake”! Followed by 2nd place Audrey’s Pumpkin Chai Bread and 3rd place Brenda’s Cinnamon Roll Cake!👩🏼‍🍳🧁🎂🍰🍪🍞👩🏽‍🍳

Today on Veterans Day, we honor our seven veterans! Bob D, Jack B, Jack H, Bob G, Ken, Norm, and Al represent the branches of Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, and National Guardl! We honored them at lunch today and our men’s group with Ben gathered this afternoon to celebrate this day together! They enjoyed a special American flag cake made by Ben’s wife, listened and sang along to patriotic music, and played a tense game of Jenga. Thank you for your service!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Happy 5th “Thursday”! We had a delicious, cozy afternoon at The Village at Appledorn East with chili and broccoli cheese soup, rolls, cookies, and apple cider! Such a fun way to connect with our neighbors!

We had a pumpkin decorating contest! Emily, Jaime, and Tina turned their pumpkins into masterpieces! Voted on by residents, staff, and visitors, Tina’s replicas of her precious pugs Ozzy & Trixie came out on top! So cute!
