Our mission, at Footprints Counseling, is to walk alongside our clients as they navigate through the struggles of life. Life can be a tough at times with many different challenges to face. Christina has 15 years of experien

ce with individual, group, and family therapy, as well as psychoeducational groups, testing, and case management. Through these different types of therapies, she has worked with issues such as suicidal thoughts, abuse and neglect, foster care and adoption issues, trauma, family issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship issues, school issues, eating disorders, and anger management. Christina is trained in the ADOPTS model (trauma based therapy for adoption and foster children) and is certified in TBRI (Trust Based Relational Therapy). Christina has provided counseling services for people of all ages, but specializes with children, teens, young adults, and their families. As a limited licensed psychologist (LLP), the state of Michigan requires supervision under a fully licensed psychologist. To fulfill those requirements, Christina is supervised by Ed Swart Ph.D.

KH Counseling and Open Hearts Collective will be offering the Monday Night Listening Lounge starting January 13 from 6:30-9p. Have you found yourself yearning for deeper connections in your life? If so, this experience will be transformative! Our guide will be Brene Brown’s Atlas of the Heart, in which we will learn so much about ourselves and how we interact in our relationships! Group will be held every other Monday for 6 weeks. Total cost is $300 for all 6 sessions. Space is limited and spots are filling up. This book is written by a dear colleague of mine and her son. It is an eye opening story about foster care and adoption. A must read!!

These are two really great books on boundaries. I recommend them all of the time. And they are on a super great sale today!! If you want to learn more about boundaries, these books will be so helpful. There are alot of examples in this book of what to say and how to set boundaries and stick to them!
