This picture is from a trauma-sensitive yoga class and that’s so powerful: Bowing down before the King from such a raw and vulnerable place. I don’t know any other place that teaches and encourages this.

Hi. I’m Becca.

A bit about me?
I’ve been teaching yoga for over a decade now but it started when I felt a pull on heart after attending yoga classes, many that I didn’t care for, to TEACH since I have an education background.

See, I had no idea that after my first son, I’d have chronic pain for years and no approach seemed to help. I couldn’t run anymore (my favorite!). With that devastation, I started what I thought was a hobby. Until it changed my life.

I needed yoga to help me. I needed Jesus to save and sustain me. So I got my 500 hour certification with and with doors at churches just opening for me, I founded Root to Rise Ministries.

Since I received my additional certification in Trauma Yoga, I’ve experienced so many people find coping skills, connection to their own bodies, stress release, community, prayer, strength and healing.

God is still opening doors.
