“The Big Orange Binder” with Town of Holland Outreach Coordinator, Brenda Palmer

"There are many reasons to need a BIG ORANGE BINDER such as a long stay in rehab, emergency evacuations, dementia, deaths, illness, signing up for services or housing. It’s also important if you work with different medical networks. Brenda Palmer will lead the workshop handing out her experience working as an Outreach Coordinator, her story as the adult child of parents who were ill, and what she learned along the way. She has shared her knowledge with Senators, Senior Services, and Attorneys and they all believe it’s valuable information for all kinds of situations. Brenda Palmer, Director & Outreach Coordinator at Holland Community Center."

She will have a presentation and some supplies on hand to start your own binder.

11 AM presenter at the Community Health Fair Presenter Sept 20th. The Health Fair runs from 10 am to 2 pm

At 11 AM join us for “WIC 101” with South Central WIC

WIC is a federal supplemental nutrition program that provides nutrition education and counseling, access to healthy foods, free breastfeeding support, health, and social service referrals for families who qualify, and discounts. They will be discussing eligibility, benefits, the WIC shopping experience, and how to apply.

10:30 AM – Fallon Health Summit Eldercare

Join Fallon Health’s Summit ElderCare® PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) at 10:30 am on September 20th.

Their company provides the individualized care and services many aging adults need to continue to live at home and in the community. The program pairs a team of geriatric professionals with each participant and their caregiver(s) to develop and coordinate a personalized plan of care.

We have had local residence use this program if they wanted to stay in their homes and we hear over and over about how great the program is.

She will be offering a raffle prize

Join us for our Health Fair on Sept 20th from 10 am to 2 pm. We will have over 20 vendors and every half hour we will have a new presentation in our smaller room.

Our first presenter will join us at 10 AM

MedMinder can deliver medications in bottles, bubble packs and our smart adherence device with a medical alert system at no additional costs.

This is a super helpful way for people to remember when medications are supposed to be taken.
