We all want to live our healthiest, happiest lives. But for women, every stage of life, from pregnancy to menopause, brings unique heart and brain health challenges.

The American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8 for Women are key to protecting your heart at every age:

1️⃣ Embrace healthy eating
2️⃣ Move your body
3️⃣ Don't be toxic. Quit to***co.
4️⃣ Sleep like a star
5️⃣ Stay well with weight
6️⃣ Be a cholesterol freak
7️⃣ Keep blood pressure in check
8️⃣ Know the blood pressure basics

Small steps today can make a big difference tomorrow.

The results are in! I’m so happy to share that I’ve been named the 2026 Blair County Woman of Impact by the American Heart Association ❤️

This journey has been so much more than a title. Over the past nine weeks, I’ve had the chance to meet incredible people, hear powerful stories, and help bring awareness to heart health in a way that truly matters to me.

I couldn’t have done this without my amazing Her Heart Matters team, my friends, my family, and every single person who donated, shared, showed up, or supported along the way. You all played a part in this.
Whether it was one conversation, one event, or one donation — it all made an impact.

I’m so grateful, so proud, and so motivated to keep this going. This isn’t the end… it’s just the beginning.

A night of celebration turned into a crisis when chest pains awakened Priti Langer.

Paramedics thought it might be a panic attack, but Priti, 46, insisted on going to the hospital. Priti had suffered a heart attack caused by spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), wherein the artery wall suddenly tears away from the lining of the artery.

SCADs often occur without warning in younger, otherwise healthy women.

As we wrap up this 9 week campaign, I just want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support throughout this journey.

We’ve had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people, host meaningful events, and have important conversations that truly matter. This experience has been both humbling and inspiring.

My hope is that the momentum we’ve built continues, that we keep sharing heart health awareness, supporting one another, and making our health a priority every single day.

This may be the end of the campaign, but it’s not the end of the mission. Thank you for being part of it with me. ❤️
