EnduraFit Training and Rehab offers one-on-one fitness, nutrition, yoga and physical therapy services either in-person at our facility in Hollis or virtually online. At EnduraFit, our philosophy is really quite simple. Treat the body as an entire system instead of individual parts and use different methods to help each client and patient reach their goals. By using this approach, we are able to incorporate personal training, physical therapy, yoga and nutrition coaching for whole body wellness in a one-on-one setting. We emphasize the importance of teaching clients and patients how to move properly for strength, mobility, stability, balance and injury prevention in each program in a fun and inviting setting

THERAPY THURSDAY

Back is sore? Even after you attempted the shovel squat this weekend? We hear ya. It’s the repetitive nature of the task… lots of bending, lifting, twisting, and then sitting.

But, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few easy and gentle stretches you can try to get your back feeling a bit looser and more comfortable.

However, if these gentle stretches don’t seem to cut it and you’ve been dealing with back pain for longer than 2 weeks, PLEASE contact us. There’s probably a little more going on that may need some more specific-to-you attention. We’d be honored to help you.

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY

Let’s face it. There’s a whole lot going on around us that may be distracting us from our day-to-day tasks and thoughts. There are plenty of excuses to not make it to the class or do the home workout. If you live in New England, the frigid cold and snow is a huge contributor.

The good news though… if you’re still pushing forward on your new year fitness goals, you’ve already made it past National Quitters Day! You’re still showing up, you’ve got the commitment.

If you’re feeling as though some accountability and just getting your body to a fitness studio to then be led 1:1 through a program is what you need, we’ve got you. We still have room in the schedule to welcome you at EnduraFit.

THERAPY THURSDAY (but on a Friday, because, you know, life!)

New England is anticipating an incredible amount of snowfall this weekend. (Somewhere between 1-2 FEET?!) ❄️ Even if it’s the light, fluffy stuff like their saying it will be, if you bend and twist repeatedly, you’re ensuring some back pain!

❔Why is proper shoveling technique so important?
❕It’s the repetition that will do you in. Any repetitive strain injury will surely cause inflammation and discomfort.

❔So, how do I perform good technique?
❕Well, think everything we’ve discussed in the past. It’s all about the HIP HINGE and keeping your core tight. Using your legs and hinging at your hips (instead of bending over at your waist) will keep your lumbar (low part) spine out of any lifting.
❕Also, DO NOT TWIST from your spine when you go to throw the shovel full of snow! Keep your core tight and turn your entire body.
❕The 3 cardinal rules of preventing back pain are NO bending, NO lifting, NO twisting from the spine. And certainly, NEVER combine those 3!

I promise you… it takes less than 0.8 seconds longer to perform it the proper way. (Yes! Research has been done on this!)

Don’t injure yourself. There’s too much fun stuff to do in the snow. Standing in agonizing pain, isn’t one of them!

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY

Let’s face it. It’s been a wild couple of weeks for all of us (holidays, family visits, kids out of school, schedules disrupted, pressure to establish your “new you” in the new year, etc) and we’re just trying to get back into the swing of things. You, too?

Some days this is all you need. Some days this is all you can handle.

Here’s to making sure you get what you need and doing what you can. Keep it simple. The new year doesn’t have to mean you reinvent yourself. Sometimes, you need to reconnect with the basic needs - water, quality food, movement, rest, and a little bit of positivity.

As we wrap up 2025, we just want to say thank you.

This year at EnduraFit Training and Rehab was about showing up - consistently, imperfectly, and with purpose. We saw you walk in on hard days, push through milestones, rebuild after setbacks, and celebrate wins both big and small.

In 2025, our space was filled with:
• Strength rebuilt after injury
• Confidence gained through movement
• Goals redefined and achieved
• A community that supports, encourages, and cheers each other on

🎉 It’s that time of year.

People make RESOLUTIONS, set goals for themselves. But we’re all so focused on the end result more than making changes to our journeys to meet such goals. It’s focusing on the journey that will allow us to make permanent changes to our lives.

So… set a TRANSFORMATION for 2026. Have a goal for yourself, but let’s place the focus on the daily, achievable habit we can add/change to our lives.
