San Benito Health Foundation The Foundation offers Medical, Dental, Vision, Comprehensive Perinatal Service Program (WIC) SBHF is governed by a community-based Board of Directors.

San Benito Health Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) 330 HRSA Grantee with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. Established in 1975, SBHF was created to fulfill the healthcare needs of community in the San Benito County area. Our center has been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the

Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC). These individuals live within the community and represent local business, government, civic and community organizations. The health care employ's professionally trained staff in a multi disciplinary community health center setting. The main facility is located at 351 Felice Dr Hollister, CA 95023. SBHF has a satellite clinic located at San Juan Bautista, CA 95045, and a mobile health center. The Centers provide Medical, Dental, Woman Infant and Children (WIC Program) and other multi-disciplinary services. The mobile health care engages in educational outreach, screening and service health care delivery activities throughout the San Benito County to serve as a venue for health care entry and early access to care for the community.

San Benito Health Foundation hosted their annual “Give Kids a Smile” event last Friday. Dental Director, Dr. Edwin Acosta and staff provided free dental screenings and fluoride treatment for 80 children and teens under 17 years old. The children participated in fun activities and received free dental care kits and a visit with the Tooth Fairy.

SBHF was pleased to receive Certificates of Recognition from California State Assembly and Senate representatives who stopped by the event that afternoon. We are proud to be part of this GKAS initiative by the American Dentist Association to give free dental care to children of underserved populations.

Only two days left before our Give Kids a Smile event on February 28, 2025, at 351 Felice Drive in Hollister. Free dental screenings and fluoride treatment will be provided for children and teens under 17 years old.
The event is from 3pm to 7pm and all participants will be given oral health tips and sent home with free toothbrushes and toothpaste, thanks to the generous support of sponsors like Colgate, Henry Schein, and the ADA Foundation. There will also be fun activities after the screenings including face painting, coloring, and games.
